I’ve been going to Dr. Swaroop for years and I’ve always had really positive experiences. I’m always presented with the best options for taking care of my teeth, but never pressured to do anything. Last year, I had an accident and suffered major trauma to multiple teeth. It was one of the scariest things I’ve ever had to go through, but Dr. Swaroop and his team helped me through the entire process. Not only did they take care of my teeth, they took care of me. The level of empathy and patience was exceptional! In addition to exceptional care, Dr. Swaroop took the time to write to my insurance company after a claim was denied. He got the treatment approved and saved me literally thousands of dollars. I’m so grateful!

Dr. S has been my dentist ever since he took over the practice a few years back. He has helped me so much and I’m so grateful for that. I was vacationing in Huntington Beach from Canada when I developed a dental emergency, I was told by a friend of mine to use HB Family Dental care regarding my dental issue. I called into the office and I was immediately asked to come in the next day. I found the office staff very personable, friendly, the clinic was a very clean environment and well done compared to other dental clinics I have been to in the past. Dr Swaroop and his staff were very professional and efficient when dealing with my dental issue. They kept me abreast with all the work that they were doing and were friendly to me throughout my experience. There thoroughness throughout the procedure and them taking their time and keeping to there high standard of work was seen by me the whole time I was there. To sum up Dr. Swaroop has been the best dentist that I have seen, and his friendly personality and his attention to detail when he is doing is work impressed me. His clinic and staff went well beyond what I expected from a dental office. My regular dentist here in Canada could learn a lot from the services that he offers to his own clients. I thank Dr. Swaroop and his staff for a enjoyable experience and I would recommend anyone to go and experience a dentist who really cares about his patients and the type of work he conducts!

By far the best dentist office experience I’ve ever had! I’ve had many problems with my teeth and ever since I was a kid I was always afraid of going to the dentist office. The dentists were always in “job mode” never super friendly, but man I’ll tell ya this office had the most friendly staff and the music in the background really helped keep the mood fun! Amazing work done on my front teeth, and I couldn’t be happier! I got four new front teeth and they came out exactly as I pictured. Before I got them done I was looking on the internet for what I wanted them to look like, and they came out just as I imagined. I keep getting compliments on them and it makes me want to smile more, which is great. I was hesitant to get them done at first, but Dr. Swaroop and his team were very supportive and reassuring throughout the whole process. From appointments to small talk, they are a pleasure to talk to. Kathey and Maria, both apart of his team, are amazing and nice ladies. Love them, and Dr. Swaroop! I met Dr. Swaroop while taking a very comprehensive (and intense) course in orthodontics. He is one of the instructors and I have had the pleasure of having him as our instructor several times. His knowledge of orthodontics and dentistry is impressive. I frequently send my orthodontic cases to him for his evaluation and second “opinion”. He always responds to my needs promptly and is very thorough in his recommendations. I would entrust someone as knowledgeable and caring as him with my dental and orthodontic needs any day. I recommend him highly and am thinking seriously about coming to California to have him do my braces!

Today was my first visit to Dr Swaroop. I had an old crown that fell out ( he did not do the old crown it was probably 15 to 20 years old) and unfortunately it was damaged so Dr. Swaroop told me he needed to replace the crown. He was kind enough to do the all of the prep work for the new crown today instead of having me come back another day which I greatly appreciated since I live 40 mInutes away. Anyway, I found Dr. Swaroop and his staff to be very caring and efficient. Dr. Swaroop made sure I felt no pain or discomfort during the procedure. I will continue to see Dr. Swaroop for all my dental needs.

Welcome to Smile HB Dental & Orthodontics, your family dentist. Our mission is to educate our patients in a safe environment while offering them necessary comprehensive care. We understand that many people have anxiety about dental treatment, so we have created a soothing environment and a scheduling system that never keeps you waiting long. By combining the latest technology with traditional techniques, we give our patients the best care in the City. We are currently accepting new patients, and do work with PPOS/HMOS. Beyond our typical services, we do offer emergency care as well as an up to date hygiene program. Subodh Swaroop was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. After moving to Huntington Beach in 1987, he discovered a new appreciation for warm weather and has never left! He enjoys hiking, exploring coastal Orange County and is a self-professed “foodie.” Fun fact: You will most likely listen to 80’s music in his dental chair. Dr. Swaroop attended the University of California Irvine and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biology. After working briefly in pharmaceutical research with Allergan, he relocated to Northern California to pursue his Doctor of Dental Science at The University of the Pacific, graduating in 1999. Dr. Swaroop is a firm believer in education and continued with a residency at Nobel Biocare for implant dentistry and was tenured as an Instructor for Progressive Orthodontics in 2005. His passion for travel and teaching continues to take him all over the world restoring smiles on every continent 40 days out of the year.
