I have been coming to this office for 4 years now and am very happy with my results. Dr. Cho and his staff are very welcoming. It almost makes me feel at home. I had short teeth that made it embarrassing for me to smile. Dr. Cho did a procedure on me called crown lengthening which made my teeth look larger, now I have a big white smile. Now I feel comfortable smiling in pictures! I definitely recommend this office to go to. This office does everything you need. No need to go to specialist Dr. Cho does it all!

I have been coming to see Rachel and Dr. Cho for about 3 years now. I always feel like my teeth are in great hands and that they do a great job. The staff is really nice and courteous. The office is modern and inviting and it’s just a good place to get your teeth cleaned. I’ve been coming every 3 months since 2015 and even after moving farther away I refuse to change my dentist!

Best dental experience ever.  My search for a qualified and honest dentist stops here!  I had some horrible past experiences that I thought left me scarred for life but then I found Dr. Cho.  I don’t dread going to the dentist anymore and actually like it.  My procedures have been virtually painless.  I have great teeth now and don’t have to drag myself in every time. I actually enjoy going to his office.  His Newport Beach office is very sterile and nicely decorated and has the latest technology and equipment.  It has a very soothing atmosphere and i’m so relaxed I usually don’t want to leave, unlike most dental offices.  The office staff is also great but the bottom line is you just can’t beat the care that Dr. Cho provides.  Btw, there is nothing he can’t do but he’s honest and conservative so he’ll never push anything on you.  I recently had an implant and considering the procedure it was a good experience and looks amazing!!! Thank you, Dr. Cho!!  I hope anyone reading this review helps you decide to try Dr. Cho because you will not be sorry!!

I came down with a toothache and smile spa took me right in. Rachel, the hygienist, was amazing and explained everything so thoroughly. She put me right at ease and was so kind and does a great cleaning. Dr. Cho was great and incredibly ethical. I had a great experience and I recommend anyone looking for a dentist or any dentistry work done to come here! You will not be disappointed! Pricing is great too!

“I’m so glad you made me go…” That certainly wasn’t the reaction I was expecting after making my husband a surprise dentist appointment. But true to form, the staff at Smile Spa Dental were outstanding! The office is so clean and modern, and the spa enhancements are a treat when receiving dental work. We have been recommending the practice to our friends and family, and will continue to do so. If you’re looking for a dentist in the Newport or Costa Mesa area, Smile Spa is absolutely your best bet.

*This is a very thorough review and I recommend reading it especially if you have anxiety going to the dentist. If you don’t have the time I definitely recommend Dr. Cho and Smile Spa they’re fantastic!* To start off with I have a lot of anxiety going to the dentist. When I was a child it was never a pleasant experience for me and the last time I did go, I had two wisdom teeth removed. Being discouraged and embarrassed I have not been in years. However, I do feel compelled to share my entire experience. Maybe it will help someone who feels the way I felt. To start off with, making my appointment was extremely easy and Jennifer was so sweet and helpful. The day before my appointment I received a confirmation call, not by a computer either! I am a big fan of human interaction. The day of my appointment I got called into work and was worried I would be late. I called the office and Jennifer assured me I would be fine and to drive safely. Getting there was very easy and parking was provided for free! A lot of places in Newport require you to either pay for parking or a stamp to redeem your ticket! Anyways, there’s an elevator if you need it however, I need the exercise after the holidays so I took the stairs.   The office was just ahead on the right, very easy to find and good signage. The office is very clean and they offer beverages in the waiting are. The paper work was only one page!!! The rest you can read and sign on a pad that connects to the computer! I love how they have gone green by saving this extra paper work! Way to be considerate of the environment  great job! While waiting I explained to Jennifer about my anxiety and how I was feeling scared. She assured me I would be okay and they would take good care of me. To keep my mind off of things she created a wonderful conversation with me and I found out it was her birthday! It totally took my mind off things while I waited. Jennifer has the best customer service I have ever seen! Rachel was my dental hygienist and was so sweet!! Oh my gosh! I’m so embarrassed  but this is important to me. She walked me through step by step and explained everything that was going on. This really helped me calm down and I really want to fix my teeth so I can show these beauty’s off! We started with X-Rays and to my surprise, I was not put into a tiny room with a giant machine. I got to stay in the same chair my whole appointment! It’s so nice not having to get up and grab all your stuff to go to another room. As usual the X-Rays can be a little uncomfortable with the mouth pieces but Rachel is fast like lightening! After X-Rays it was time to measure my gums. This made me very nervous and the tools looked intimidating but Rachel was there for me. She explained to me exactly what was going to happen and what it may feel like. There were a few points where it felt sensitive but she was very gentle. Rachel even asked me how I was doing and told me there’s just a few more, she even offered to give me a break but I was determined to stick it through.  To speed up the process she asked Inga to come in to help input the numbers into the computer. Inga was so sweet and when she saw my anxiety she gave me hug and even held my hand! There was another patient so she had to go but I couldn’t believe how much I felt cared for by the entire staff! Now it’s cleaning time! Oh my gosh! I’m so scared  I know it’s going to hurt.  I told Rachel I was afraid of the pain and was getting really nervous. She assured me I was going to be okay and offered to numb my gums for the cleaning! Oh thank you lord  she was so thorough too! Did not miss a spot! I still experienced some pain but I could only imagine what it would have felt like if I didn’t have it. I was told it would taste bad but they sucked it out before I could taste it. Before I knew it she was done  and taught me some new techniques with flossing and sent home a special medicated mouth wash for me that was very cost effective too. Now it is time for Dr. Cho to come take a look. He was there in two shakes of a lambs tail! He examined me throughly and was extremely nice and professional.  I’m so embarrassed but I’m happy I came in before it was too late. After my exam I found out exactly just how much work my teeth needed. This made my anxiety almost sky rocket just thinking of being in the chair and the possibility of pain. Yes, I’m a big baby  They offered for me to start the same day because he had some time in his schedule however, my nerves got the best of me and decided it was best to rescheduled. Dr. Cho recognized my anxiety and actually prescribed me some medication for my next visit.  He said it will help me relax but to have someone drive me to and from my appointment of course. Rachel then gave me a hot towel that smelled like lavender and checking out was super easy.  I hope this was helpful

Came here to Dr. Cho’s office about 4 times now.  Every time I have had a pleasant experience.  The staff is very nice and accommodating.  And Dr. Cho is very nice and good at his job.  I had 4 wisdom teeth removed all at the same time, and Dr. Cho was really fast and good at his job. The procedure was done very quickly and efficiently. Not a bad experience at all. Then I developed dry socket which sucked haha. However Dr. Cho saw me and fixed my problem and I was ok again. The pain literally disappeared right after he fixed me. I also got deep cleaning done and now my teeth are super clean.  My overall experience here was great!  So great that I scheduled an appointment for my boyfriend.  I’m sure his experience will be just as good as mine.
