I hadn’t gone to the dentist in three years due to not having dental insurance. I am also someone who is typically very wary of and nervous to go to the dentist. Dr. Harris, Skye, Rachel, and Ashley all made me feel so comfortable. They answered all of my questions about procedures, cost, and next steps. I love that they have pictures of themselves up as they are covered in PPE (for obvious reasons 🙂 –this helped me to feel more at ease. They did not move forward with any procedure before informing me of the cost, which I really appreciated. I would highly recommend Dr. Harris and the team!

Dr. Harris was very compassionate and caring. She was gentle and explained every step before acting, which helped keep me at ease during the procedures. Her pricing is very reasonable, and she accepted both types of insurance I had and took me as a new patient. She is very knowledgable and skilled in her art!

I’ve been in Philly for over 6 years – and I’ve finally found a great dental office! I’ve been searching for a dentist like Dr. Harris. Her and her staff – Kathy, Skye and Rachel are all amazing. I have had dental issues all my life (hence, why I hate going to the dentist: because it’s always bad news!) However everyone here has put me at ease – they are not only gentle (I’m 33 but have the teeth of an 89 year old from the middle ages!) but also thorough, super efficient with time (we all have work schedules people!) and honest. I have dental insurance – it doesn’t cover too much – and they were able to work with me financially about pricing for some procedures I needed to get done – I super appreciate that. Now to the really good stuff! Every room has windows and a great view (something that REALLY helps my emotional state while I’m sitting there getting my teeth drilled – painlessly I might add!) Everything is up to date, it feels like a personal experience, and again, I can’t stress this more – I TRUST them. That’s huge for me and it should be for everyone else too. I really think if you’re looking for a dentist (or want to switch because you feel you’re not getting the best treatment) visit Dr. Harris. FYI, I only want to write on Yelp when I have great experiences, and this is one of them. Your teeth are important folks – and having a personal, caring dental visit means a lot to me – so check them out. If not – better time slots for me!

I’ve gone to Dr. Harris for dental work and to Rachel for cleanings for approximately four years and have always had very positive experiences there (despite the reality of “going to the dentist!”). They are thorough, friendly, work hard, and explain what they’re doing (and why). Recently, I had terrible sudden gum/tooth pain and they “got me in” that day. They weren’t sure which tooth (of two) was causing the problem and immediately got me into an office that does root canals. I was (and am) so thankful that they did all this so efficiently and nicely as I was not in good shape. AND, Dr. Harris gave me her cell number in case I needed anything. Ashley is great too…so efficient and so friendly; she thinks of things before you do!

Dr. Harris, Rachel and the whole Smiles on the Square team are always such a fantastic and friendly staff. They provide great dental services in Center City – I can’t recommend enough! I have been a patient since 2015 and they have always been informative, well priced and great with all dental procedures and cleanings.

Nancy Harris is the best dentist in the city, hands down. I needed a new night time mouth guard, and Dr. Harris created me one that has fit perfectly  and worked great for several years now. Her staff is friendly and it’s easy to get an appointment that fits around your work schedule. I’ve recommended Dr. Harris’ practice to several of my coworkers, and they have all had positive experiences as well.

I went to Dr. Harris’s office because I was looking to get my teeth cleaned and whitened before our wedding.  It was very easy to get an appointment for a time that fit my schedule, the staff was extremely professional and friendly, and the end result was fantastic.  My fiance wound up going to Dr. Harris’s office shortly after since my teeth turned out so well and the experience was so easy.  Highly recommend.

Have been going to Dr. Harris for about five years now – even though I’ve lived in London and NYC for part of it! Lovely office and staff so it’s been worth it to make a pit stop in Philly twice a year to see them. I consider Rachel a friend at this point and look forward to our visits! I was very afraid of going to the dentist. I put it off for ages while I tried to get the nerve to make an appointment with a new dentist after moving to the Philadelphia area. I finally found Dr. Harris and made an appointment, and I will be looking no further in my quest for a dentist that I can go to without fear. She and her staff were absolutely wonderful; they were friendly, kind, and completely understanding of my fear. They made me feel very comfortable and took the time to explain things to me. If you are looking for a dentist in the Philadelphia area, this is absolutely the place to go, especially if you have any anxiety around going to the dentist like I do!

I love the whole office! Very clean, stress-free environment. Ashley at the front desk offers to call my insurance for me (!) and remembers me when I call. Rachel the hygienist is so friendly and laughs at my jokes. Most importantly, she is also straightforward and honest with regards to my teeth and gums. I really appreciate her direct approach! At the end Dr. Harris will pop in for a few minutes to take a final look.

I wrote this review before, and for some reason its “not currently recommended.” I’m a real consumer, not associated with Dr. Harris or anyone in her office in any way (except as a customer) Very professional and well-managed office. Dr. Harris is careful, thorough and friendly. The hygienists are well trained and highly competent. The reception is welcoming and the record keeping is excellent. The practice is very clear on charges and insurance coverages. If your insurance covers Dr. Harris, it would be a mistake not to try her. I’ve been a patient for over 10 years and am highly satisfied.

Dr Harris and her staff were very professional and had me checked in and seen in a very timely manner. I appreciated Dr. Harris’ candor and recommendation for treatment. As this was my initial visit with Dr. Harris, I was impressed and extremely satisfied with the services rendered and would not hesitate in making future appointments with Dr. Harris and her staff.

I absolutely love Dr. Harris and her team (Skye, Rachel, & Ashley)! They are all very friendly and make you feel completely at ease, no matter the procedure. The office is clean, scheduling is so on point that I’ve never waited longer than 5 minutes, and everyone is professional and kind. The quality of their work is excellent. They’re very transparent about your dental health and care plan. I’ve never had a bad experience here. I can’t recommend them highly enough!

Doctor Nancy Harris and her staff are a first rate dental practice. From the moment you enter her office and are greeted by Ashley at reception the personal touch and caring concern you receive make for a wonderful experience. Ashley is very well versed in navigating insurance plan regulations and does so with a smile. Once you are taken in to the treatment area you will find it spotless clean. Her diagnostic tools and equipment are all state of the art. Doctor Harris and her assistant, Skylar, work very well together. As you undergo procedures, each of them take a moment to explain exactly what will be done, and inform you to raise your hand if at any time or for any reason you are feeling any distress. The staff and Doctor Harris make the typically difficult experience of having dental work done very easy to endure. I highly recommend you entrust your mouth, teeth and gums to Doctor Harris and her staff !

Dr Nancy Harris and her staff are top notch.  Having chipped my front tooth as a child, Dr. Harris has repaired the molding and crown twice now (during visits almost 4 years apart). I have been extremely satisfied with the results each time. Each interaction was very efficient, professional, and pleasant.  No one is really fond of going to the dentist but I actually look forward to it now.  I highly recommend them.

This is the first time I’ve ever actually liked going to the dentist. I made an appointment a few months ago after I managed to avoid the dentist for about two years, so I wasn’t surprised when I was told I had some periodontal issues and a few cavities. One of those cavities ended up being a root canal, so I spend quite a bit of time in the office, probably 6+ appointments in six months. They are so nice! Dr. Harris always explains what she’s doing very clearly, and Rachel (the hygienist) is straightforward and easy to talk to. Ashley at the front desk deals with all the insurance and billing issues super easily. My favorite part is their ability to combine appointments, such as scaling and root planing on one side of my mouth + filling cavities on the same side so I only have to get numb once, or putting on a crown and having a periodontal check at the same appointment. It’s easy, efficient, and comfortable.

I love Smiles At The Square! I’ve been a patient there for a few years, and when I have an appointment, I feel like I’m visiting with friends, which is high praise since I’m not a fan of dental work. The entire staff is friendly and easygoing, the office is clean, and service is timely and hospitable. They have everything you could want from a dental practice!

Fantastic experience at this office! I came in as a new patient, and the service was wonderful. Check in and paperwork with Ashley, the office manager, was quick and streamlined, and I did not have to wait for very long (if at all) to be seen. Office is clean and spacious, with a great view of the city right from the exam chair. Dr. Harris and her dental assistant Skye were very friendly and knowledgeable, taking their time to explain each step of what they were doing throughout my exam and cleaning. Of note, the office has a very thorough COVID-19 protocol, and I was screened (both with a temperature check and a symptom attestation form) immediately upon arrival to the office. Staff members were wearing the appropriate PPE during my entire visit, so I felt very safe! Happy to be a new patient at this practice, and I would highly recommend their services to those looking for a safe and inviting place to receive their dental care – thank you Dr. Harris, Skye, and Ashley!

My wife and I have been going to Nancy Harris for almost 3 years now and we’ve had great experiences during our visits.  I would recommend the office to anyone looking for a convenient, clean, experienced practice in Center City.  They always give me a call the week of my appointment as a reminder and have always accommodated my schedule if I’ve needed to change dates and times

I feel very fortunate to have found Dr Nancy Harris and her highly professional staff after moving to Philadelphia 2 years ago. My cosmetic procedure resulted in beautiful and natural looking veneers just in time for our son’s wedding! I couldn’t be happier! I recommend this dental office to everyone I talk to. Not only are they extremely kind, personable, organized, and professional – they have truly SAVED my teeth. My previous dentist was not very attentive with my many dental issues (I am a terrible night tooth-grinder with very soft, cavity-prone teeth). Dr. Harris & team fixed up all my problems and stayed on top of them so that over time, my teeth have become much healthier! I cannot thank them enough for all that they have done for me.

I was very nervous about finding a new dentist after going to the same one for 14+ years and I am so happy I found this practice. Dr. Harris and the entire staff are incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable. My appointments have gone smoothly and quickly. I’m not nervous about going to the dentist anymore! Highly recommend!

a great and personable denist is hard to find in the city of Philadelphia … and Dr. Harris certainly fits that mold … she is very thorough and treats her patients with the utmost respect and kindness.. Her desintry goes beyond the highest point of excellency and her staff are very outgoing, welcoming , and approachable. I have never had any problems with my teeth after any of my visits with Dr. Harris  and she has fixed and corrected many dental problems i have had with amazing results..  i recommend her to all of my friends and family
