Dr. Brent’s practice is wonderful. His team is composed of courteous, welcoming and knowledgeable professionals. The office is clean and comfortable. Dr. Brent immediately put me at ease and took care of my concerns. I have experienced dentists that push unnecessary services and I definitely didn’t get that feeling with Dr. Songstad. He is reliable and trustworthy.

Everyone at Dr. Songstad’s office was great today! I’d called a different dentist’s office and the front desk was less than helpful and somewhat rude/short with me, so I asked a coworker for a recommendation and tried Dr. Songstad’s office. Courtney at the front desk was super helpful (and upfront/accurate with fees I asked about) about information for my first-time visit, and Linda and Amanda were great at answering any questions I had and really knowledgeable. They made me feel so comfortable like I wasn’t even a new patient. Linda was really quick and efficient with the X-rays and Amanda was really thorough and not rough at all with the teeth scraping part. She had a lot of good information / tips on maintenance. I can honestly say I’m glad to be a new regular and will be glad to come back soon!

Never did I ever think I could have an AMAZING, pain free, enjoyable dentist visit. Ellen was my dental hygienist and she exceeded my expectations. She greeted me with the biggest smile, was so sweet and was seriously so gentle! When she told me she was done, I couldn’t believe how pain free my experience was. Dr. Songstad and his staff are great. The Doctors Songstad are actually brothers and this building contains both their practices, so each side is a mirror image of the other. Kinda trippy. Dr. Brent looks after his patients. I thought for sure I was going to need a veneer after I damaged one of my front teeth so I scheduled that rather expensive procedure. Once I got there, Dr. Brent took a look at it and told me that it really wasn’t necessary and performance a much less invasive procedure and I was good as new. He could’ve done the expensive veneer work, but as always he did what was right instead of what was most profitable. Kudos to Dr. B and his team.

For some reason, I came through the holidays with stains on my teeth above the norm. My scheduled cleaning was not until late March. I had meetings coming up and feeling like some hick with a chewing tobacco issue. I called the office and the stars aligned. Ellen had an opening and I grabbed it. I just love hanging with Ellen while she examines and cleans my teeth. We are both foodies so we have lots to share. These stains were pretty tough and Ellen had to really work to blast it off. She did and with a smile. Love this office. Everyone there makes me feel special and brightens my day!

I have moved around a lot and been to quite a few dentists. Dr. Songstad’s office is by far the best. The dental hygienists are really gentle and I never mind going in for a cleaning. I’ve had one cavity filled there and it was super quick and painless. Usually after getting cavities filled at other dentist offices, it takes awhile to get the filling filed down just right. Dr. Songstad got it right away and I didn’t even notice the filling was there. I also never have to wait long in the waiting room before my appointments, which I really appreciate. Everyone in the office is super efficient and friendly. Highly recommend!

I was lucky to be referred directly to Dr. Brent Songstad when I moved to Nashville. From my first appointment, I have been extremely pleased with the full experience: from scheduling to signing in at the front desk to the actual appointment, the entire staff is kind, helpful, and friendly. I’ve seen a variety of dentists over the years, and Dr. Songstad is one of the best. I’ve been to his office for several six-month checkups now–the hygienists are super friendly and knowledgeable, explaining what they’re looking for and what they’re doing (some patients don’t like to know what’s happening, but I do!). I usually schedule morning appointments and I’ve always been seen promptly and on time. I also saw Dr. Songstad to replace a crown; because of the long, intensive, and sometimes painful process to get the existing crown to an “ok” state, I was *extremely anxious* about this replacement. Dr. Songstad and his team were patient and understanding, addressing my many concerns. Also, he nailed it–color, fit, procedure–on the first try. I will never see another dentist as long as I live in the Nashville area, and I cannot recommend him or his office highly enough.

I cannot recommend Dr. Songstad enough. Please save yourself the time, money, and torture and go here before trying other dentists. The front office staff is incredibly kind and welcoming to their nervous patients awaiting the dreaded dentist visit. I have never had to wait more than a few minutes after my scheduled appointment. The hygienist rocks. Very kind and does a phenomenal job. Dr. Songstad was great. He found one tooth that needed a very minor fix. To compare, the dentist that I went to right before this (Embassy Dental) told me that I had 3 cavities. I didn’t get them fixed at Embassy because they were terrible and it was the worse experience of my life and instead found Songstad for a second opinion. I am really glad I did. Best. Dentist. Ever. They also worked well with my insurance so that I didn’t have to worry about a thing. And when I chose to go off my insurance, the bills were completely manageable (and cheaper than paying for insurance in my case). I have only had experience with Brent, but I am very confident that his brother on the other side of the office is just as great. Unfortunately, I moved away from the area and am now in the search for a new dentist, I hope I can find an office and dentist as awesome as this one. I have seriously considered flying back to Nashville just so I can visit Dr. Songstad again… but it turns out insurance doesn’t cover travel costs.
