I lost a crown last night at work. The pain was terrible whenever I spoke, ate, drank and even breathed! I called the after hours emergency number for my dentist and got “offices are open Monday, would you like a prescription for a pain killer?” I did not, I wanted my tooth back!!! Beside the point, I called/visited 7 dentists in my area, on public transit, and no one could/would help me. Smiles northwest were wonderful! The receptionist alone made my day, she was so good when I started crying on the phone, I managed to get there 30 min. later than I said I would and I was in the chair and numb within 15 minutes. The dentist (sorry I didn’t get his name) was nice, easy to talk to and great! I was out in under 30 minutes and all is well. These people run a clean, kind and wonderful business! My insurance was not accepted here but for an emergency appointment, kindness and quality work my bill was still under $200. I love these people and wish that my insurance was accepted here because I would defiantly go back!!!

My jaw had bothered me for years. I was having headaches on a daily basis and migraines multiple times a month due to the pain. Thanks to Dr. Alan Montrose for providing me with TMJ therapy and a dental Orthotic my jaw no longer bothers me and I am headache free. Thank you Smiles Northwest for being professional, kind, courteous, informative and helping me feel so comfortable throughout my therapy and treatment. I have been a patient at Smiles Northwest for 15 years. Dr. Montrose is the best cosmetic and general dentist in Portland. Smiles Northwest has all of the latest technology to ensure dental work accuracy and patient comfort. The business is run efficiently and all of the staff are genuinely caring.

My experience at Smiles NW was exceptional. The decor and atmosphere was up-to-date and professional. I particularly enjoyed the espresso maker in the lobby! The front desk staff were helpful and able to answer all my questions. The hygienist was gentle, knowledgeable, and friendly. She was attentive to my questions/concerns and collaborated with Dr. Montrose to make sure that I was given thorough answers. My only disappointment with Smiles NW was that I had to wait for a long time before Dr. Montrose came in, though I suppose having a busy dentist is a good sign because it speaks to the fact that lots of people have entrusted him with their oral health. Overall, my experience was positive and I highly recommend Smiles NW!

Miracle workers! I have suffered with headaches for over the past 10 years. And not just one per month, or one per week… I’m talking every single day, from the moment I woke up to when I could finally go to sleep, I always had a headache. Knowing that clenching was a major contributor, I have also worn a nightguard for many years. However, the nightguard alone didn’t seem to be working. So I asked the dentists at Smiles NW to take a look. With their extensive knowledge in neuromuscular therapy, they determined that I was holding my jaw in a certain way that kept my muscles firing at all times, causing headaches. Going through neuromuscular therapy, I have not had a single headache in the last two months! I didn’t realize how much pain I had been in until I was finally pain-free. I highly recommend Smiles NW!

This is the office I trust with my teeth. Dr. Montrose is very educated in cosmetic dentistry and I need to know that before I allow anyone to work on my teeth. Katie my hygienist is also super knowledgeable about cosmetic dentistry and I never have to remind her not to scratch my teeth. The staff is very professional and the office is welcoming. If you need the best, I suggest this office. I don’t feel like their pricing is any more than other offices. They also offer 5% discount if paying by check or cash.

Still seeing Lori and Dr. Montrose and couldn’t be happier. They run a tight ship over there and my visits feel so smooth. My teeth and gums are the best they’ve ever been and I always look forward to my visits because Lori (Hygienist) is amazing. She is both friendly and thorough. Dr. Montrose filled a cavity in between my two front teeth years ago and I was so nervous at the time but to this day they look great and you can’t tell I had it done. Luckily I haven’t had to do too many cosmetic dental dental procedures but I wouldn’t trust anyone but Mr. Montrose when the need arises.

I have been a patient at smiles northwest for over 8 years. I have had exceptional dental treatment from all of the Dr’s. The assistants do an amazing job working side by side with the Dr’s so they can put all their focus on you. The front desk works very hard to answer every question you may have for billing and finical concerns. The hygiene department is amazing at keeping you informed of your health and offering advice on the most up to date scientific evidence of how to maintain your smile for a lifetime.

Great office, great staff, and I love my dentist, Dr. Montrose. I really appreciate the service and care at Smiles Northwest. They know me, remember me, and really take are of ensuring my consistent care. For years, I went to a practice downtown that was good. I switched because the practice didn’t feel that warm to me. The location and service here is so great. It feels like visiting friends

Quality and care seem to be the watchwords at Smiles Northwest. Before coming to this place I’ve never associated any kind of brand loyalty with a dentist office, but these guys are amazing. After about a year and several visits I’ve had only good experience with them. Obvious selling points are the nice waiting area, courteous and professional office staff, and very competent dental staff (I’ve worked with Doctors Jeremy and Allen Montrose). But to go a step further, I had a dental emergency come up the day after Thanksgiving when the office was closed. I called the emergency number and within an hour I got a call from Dr. Jeremy who agreed to meet with me in an hour. Rather than just do a quick fix and send me away with pain meds he and Dr. Allen spent time working the problem and ended up relieving the pressure that was causing me such agony. I felt better almost immediately.
