I can not compare Dr Berd to a poor dentist, because I’ve been fortunate enough to have excellent dental care for the majority of my adult life, but I can say that he is among the best dentists that I have encountered. First and foremost he is a masterfully skilled technician, and I have no complaints about the work that he has performed over the past two years – from wisdom tooth removal (performed rapidly and painlessly), to minor cavity repair and routine cleanings – all excellent and without incident. But as importantly, he is a brilliant conversationalist and it is quite easy to visit, despite the dentistly pressure to floss. The facility is ok. It is somewhat clean and contemporary… others are more impressive in the respect. The staff is kind and genuinely accommodating.

During COVID-19 this has been a seemless, effortless and surprisingly relaxing experience. Unfortunately, I do not have the front desk staff names, because there are no name tags, but they were friendly & competent and able to assist me when I walked in. I initiated the visit on their website. I was promptly taken to the work area for a dental cleaning by Alex. Dr Berd was professional and friendly and before I knew it the visit was over. Thanks to the staff, technology In the office and entertainment. The first visit was incredible! For my second visit, Norma placed me in a work area nearly immediately after walking in the door. Alex assisted Dr Berd with the crown fitting. We took a break after 15-20 minutes of prep work and in 60 or so minutes Dr. Berd came back with Alex to assist with fitting the crown comfortably. Dr. Berd was patient and caring, Alex was an incredible patient advocate, as I had a numb mouth and could not really feel my bite to ensure it was a comfy fit. And just like that, I have a new crown that looks very natural, pain free and comfortable fitting all from an office with incredible trained staff and friendly provider that has their own 4 legged furry mascot named Chip, you can follow on IG. Looking forward to my cleaning in March. If you are afraid of the dentist you should definitely give this office a visit. The experience will leave you feeling exhilarated and ready for your next cleaning!

He deserves the five star review.   I chose him because of his great reviews and he not only lived up to them but surpassed them. I hadn’t been to a dentist in about 15 years and he made me feel comfortable and cared about.  He was so easy to talk to and so eager to interest me in my teeth, what he was doing and what needed to be done in the future by being ENCOURAGING and even enthusiastic.  He explained everything that I wanted to know in great detail and terminology that I could understand and helped me make decisions about the cosmetic work I need.  I was quite scared and nervous when I got there but within minutes of meeting him I felt completely at ease and I knew I had found the right place. I can’t stop singing his praises but it would be unfair to single him out because he also has a fabulous staff of equally fabulous people who back him up.  The x-ray tech, I think her name was Irina was totally patient and compassionate and did everything she could to make me comfortable during a very uncomfortable process.  They simply rock and quite frankly I’m amazed they don’t have a year long waiting list to get in.

Dr Berd is great!!! Caring, considerate, and trustworthy. He takes the time to explain everything and personally address all your concerns. I had x-rays, a cleaning, and he advised that I have all four wisdom teeth removed. I was very hesitant about this and had a lot of questions, but he took the time to carefully explain why and how it is done, and what would happen if I left them in. He also has very good visuals, which I loved. (You may want to skip this if you are the “rather not know” type). Very reasonable prices and he works well with your insurance.

Josh is an amazing dentist. I shouldn’t be surprised since I’ve known him for over 10 years and he’s an amazing person.. so he should be an amazing dentist, right?! Even with this logic, I am  impressed with his professional demeanor and skilled treatment. I don’t particularly enjoy going to the dentist, and Josh has made every effort to make me as comfortable as possible. As a patient of his for the past three years, I can say that he is a skilled dentist, gentle but thorough, and I am thankful he’s practicing in San Francisco and I can continue as his patient! Plus… he’s an amazing person!

I originally went to Dr. Berd because my previous dentist quickly became somebody whose opinions I no longer trusted. I came to him with a rather distrustful attitude and skepticism. But he laid all my concerns to rest! He addressed all of my concerns, was extremely patient and helpful and also gave me the best dental cleaning I have ever had. Usually, with any cleanings I have had in the past, my gums would be sore for a week and this time around, they weren’t sore at all! He also helped fit me for a nightguard and fitted me properly. It was an easy, pleasant experience. Anybody looking for a new dentist should consider Dr. Berd.

Today I had a dental checkup and cleaning with Dr. Berd and it was great. Aside from the fact that he is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, what really impressed me is how passionate he is for dentistry. It’s one thing to go to a dentist, or any professional, that is good at what they do, but when they are passionate as well, it’s a world of a difference. I also really enjoyed the fact that Dr. Berd didn’t just clean my teeth in ‘autopilot’ mode just going through the motions. He explained what he was doing as he was doing it, noted areas that showed signs of brushing too hard (and he was right), and gave me tips on brushing techniques specific to the situation in MY mouth e.g. what areas in my mouth I need to focus on more when I brush, and what areas I need to chill out on a bit. I’ve never had such detailed attention and advice from any dentist, and I’ve gone to many great dentists over the years. All in all, Dr. Berd is a pleasure to be around, knows what he’s doing, and will give you the best personalized care you can imagine. He is definitely my new permanent dentist!

I recently had another exceptional visit to Dr. Berd’s office for my routine examination.  From the ability to schedule online, wonderful receptionists and a convenient location, Dr. Berd provides far and away the best experience I’ve had to date. For the second time, I had the absolute pleasure to receive a checkup from the wonderful Dr. Helen De Francesco.  She is extremely kind and professional, and always makes me feel welcome in her chair.  Examinations are thorough and straight to the point but with a little good humor peppered in.  She is very clear about any issues she finds, and always takes the time to answer my (stupid) questions regarding dental hygiene (yes, like you fellow Yelper, I don’t floss enough).  Knowing I’ll be visiting her makes going to the dentist something to look forward to and I will specifically request her in the future.  I have definitely found my family’s dentist once and for all!  See you in six months!

I’ve been going to Dr. Berd for about 3 years now, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience. I’ve had terrible dentists for most of my adult life, and I so stoked that I finally have a dentist that doesn’t make me dread going! Dr. Berd (and his awesome staff) are super friendly, professional, and extremely talented at what they do. I always enjoy catching up with him as well. I had a wisdom tooth removed about a year ago, a process that thoroughly freaked me out. The entire process, from consultation to recover check up was probably the most painless dental experience I’ve had. Both locations are super convenient to my work and home, which is a nice bonus considering I’d make the trek anywhere in town to not hate going to the dentist. Definitely recommend!

I have decided to write this review because I was so thoroughly impressed with Dr. Helen De Francesco and my overall experience. I had some unpleasant dealings with dental visits in the past so I was looking for a new dentist and feeling quite nervous after not having had a check up in over 2 years. But I am so pleased with my choice to give Dr. De Francesco a try! To begin with, the entire staff at The Dental Group was friendly, professional, and went out of their way to welcome me as a new patient. Dr. De Francesco made me feel at ease right away. She took the time to answer all my questions and concerns. I never felt rushed. She and her staff did such a thorough job throughout my check up/x rays/cleaning and made sure I was as comfortable as possible. Dr. De Francesco has that gift of combining an obvious expertise in her field while also showing a great deal of empathy to her patients. I have to add that I love the look of the office. It is so tastefully decorated that one might forget they were in a medical setting. All the equipment is top of the line and brand new. I will definitely be returning to see Dr. De Francesco and will be recommending her to all my friends and colleagues in need of a new dentist.

I initially visited Dr. Berd after suffering the dreaded front tooth chip.  I received a strong recommendation and have been thrilled with the results and the ongoing care I have received.  As soon as you step foot in the office, the natural anxiety subsides. With the modern finishes and impressive technology integration.  The option to select your choice of music or choose a Netflix show to watch is awesome! The technology integration makes the time fly and relaxes me as a patient, but more importantly, the care and results are spectacular!  Dr. Berd genuinely cares about taking care of his patients and takes his time to ensure that I am comfortable and involved in the process. I love my smile again thanks to Dr. Berd and I can’t thank him and his staff enough for the thoughtful care that they have provided me!

I’ve been going to see Dr. Berd for 2 to 3 years now and every single time I am treated with above and beyond patient care. I suffer from TMJ and in my late teens I ended up having my jaw muscles lock while my mouth was open at the dentist. It was an awful experience resulting in me completely being terrified of going to the dentist again. About 8-10 years later, I knew it was time. I have been grinding my teeth at night in my sleep since I was a kid and if I didn’t take care of it now, I knew I’d be in a bad place. I went to Dr. Berd after the recommendation from a coworker as their (old) office was right next to ours. I explained my concerns and was met with absolute understanding and care. Every person who has cleaned my teeth was kind and gentle. Dr. Berd and Dr. Helen are fantastic. I can’t recommend this office enough and thank them for their outstanding customer service.

Dr. Berd and his staff are absolutely amazing. I’ve been going to him for 3 years now and I’m always happy with the care I’m given. I have a fear of the dentist and my first visit to them, they made sure to take care and talk me through all the processes. I followed them even when they moved offices because I was so happy with the care I receive every time I go. I always recommend them to anyone looking for a dentist!
