The Dentists at Houston Westchase are awesome. I have been to many different dentists over the years and this is the only dentist office that I feel comfortable coming to. Both Dr. McRay and Dr. Robbins are great at what they do and are very personable. They go out of their way to make sure you have a pleasant experience and explain everything that is going to be done. Personally, I have had numerous fillings, a crown, tooth extraction, and bridge work done with them. All of their work has been great and has exceeded my expectations. It should also be noted that they have a great staff working with them which is essential to a great dental practice. I would highly recommend The Dentists at Houston Westchase to anyone who is looking for a dentist. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed!

Very happy to update my original review, which you can still read below. Since coming in for a second opinion on drilling my 2 year old’s tooth, Dr. McRay and Dr. Robbins have become the dentist for myself and my entire family. You cannot ask for a more knowledgeable, patient and friendly team than the staff here. If you’re in need of expert family/cosmetic dental care in Houston, TX, you should definitely come by for a visit or consultation. Came here for a second opinion on a risky procedure recommended by my regular dentist for my 2 year old son. Was blown away by the customer service, knowledge and experience of Dr. McRay. He explained everything in a way I could understand and didn’t recommend the risky procedure until only later given certain other conditions. Best of all, the consultation was free. He could easily have made money off my parent-panic but didn’t. Dr. McRay and his wife, Dr. Robbins, have been practicing in Houston for a long time and their experience, kindness and understanding show. I highly recommend

At first view, I was impressed by how clean and neat was everything in the room. Friendly staff and they made me in by appointment right on time. You are available to fill all forms online before your first visit and no wasting time once you are there. I was referred by a coworker. I could not be happier with this group of people! First and foremost, you should always be up front and honest if you have any questions about products/procedures/services. They were so easy to speak with about any of my concerns. This is now my family dentist for sure! My initial visit was a dental clean. Savannah was very thorough with my teeth cleaning. She did an amazing job listening and speaking with me about my concerns for future dental work and gave suggestions along with Dr.Ray and they were able to come up with a treatment plan in which I was very pleased with. They were very easy to speak with about any concerns I had. And Sam did an amazing job walking me through my treatment case. She was able to break down my cost, insurance costs, and total for each procedure/service I was planning on doing in the future and I was able to take that home for review. I really appreciated that a lot! The breakdown really helped me understand what to expect out of pocket. so THANK YOU FOR THAT SAM! My second/third visit I went in to remove two of my wisdom tooth each time. Dr. Robbins and her assistant (I forgot her name) were great! It’s no fun getting those tooth’s pulled but I was very happy she did them. I could not feel it at all when she pulled them. During the visit, Dr. Robbins was very thorough with what to expect throughout the procedure. Thanks you everyone again!

I had another great visit at Westchase Dentists yesterday for a regular cleaning and exam. Recently arrived (within the last 6 months, I think) hygienist, Brittany (Not sure which of the 6-8 spellings of her name is correct, I used the “traditional.” I did confirm her name doesn’t end with an “i”.), did a great job and has a fine sense of humor, along with everyone else in the office, including both of the doctors who visited me in the exam room to get their fair share of light-hearted abuse. I’m absolutely in love with this place. The lady at the front desk (blue hair) was soooo helpful and nice to me. I appreciated her explaining the breakdown of my procedure and what insurance would cover. I was really taken back by how knowledgeable the dental assistant was since I’m typically used to them giving me basic info. The dentist was also very personable and helpful. Going here you don’t feel rushed or pressured into paying for work. They suggested doing my treatment in phases which is what I planned on doing so I really appreciated that. Definitely suggesting this place to friends and family.

When I first walked in I noticed how clean and neat everything was, and how friendly the staff was. I was taken to be checked right on time. You can fill out all the paperwork for your visit from online forms that you can print out at home, so there is a minimum of paperwork to do. I was impressed about how clean and orderly everything looked. When I went in to the exam room they went right to work and got a digital X Ray that they could read immediately without having to wait to be developed etc. It was quick and easy. I was showed exactly what my problem was where it was and explained how severe it was and what could be done to fix it. My problem was only a loose cap, not bad but painful. Everything was explained to me, the cause, how it happened and how everything would work. Even payment and financial options were discussed. I was very comfortable the whole time and all of the staff were very helpful throughout my whole exam and were all very friendly and made me very comfortable in the dental chair. A RX was sent to the drugstore for me and I picked it up with no trouble at all. I would highly recommend this dentist to anyone and even for children. I left feeling very happy with the whole experience

Great experience specially for my daughters. In the past, a visit to the dentist was a nightmare for them and for me but, at Dr. Robbins the staff is super friendly and they really know how to treat kids! Dr Robbins is super nice and profesional, she takes her time to explain what’s going on with your teeth. Curious fact, a year ago, another dentist said, I had to do some work in one of my tooth, it was necessary! Well, according to dr Robbins there is nothing wrong with it and I never mentioned that previous suggestion, which made think the other dentist was just trying to get some money from me! The office is impecable and they equipment top of the line, once you sit in your chair everything is done there, no need to go to another room for x-rays! I’m so happy I found this practice.

My original dentist decided to close her practice so I made an oppointment for a routine checkup/cleaning. From the moment I walked in Britney greeted me with the utmost enthusiasm. She welcomed me and showed me ever courtesy imaginable while I filled out my new patient documents. At first glance I thought I was in a designer home. I could tell no expense was spared in the design of this office. It definitely gave me the feel of an upscale modern office with design unlike any office I have stepped foot in. It wasnt long before I met Ashley who conducted my initial exam. She had me at ease from the moment i layed down in the chair which was also the most comfortable dentist chair I’ve ever been in. She knew I was intrested on how the Astros were doing so she turned the game on the big screen in front of me. Wow! Then came Dr Robbins. She took the time to get to know me and showed such genuine patient care that I knew I was in good hands. She walked me through each aspect of my cleaning and any concerns I needed to pay close attention to. After we were all done she took what little time she had left to teach me to floss properly, and even gave me a going away dental kit filled with everything I need to maintain good dental hygiene. I know this review is long, however I just had to express my complete and utter appreciation for Dr. Robbins and her amazing team. This is my new spot, and will be recommending to everyone. I found this dental office through google search. The ratings were very high and the majority of the reviews were excellent, after my first visit a few weeks ago–I can see why!! The office itself is EXTREMELY clean and all of the staff are very friendly. Everyone is very thorough, and Dr. Robbins explained every step of my plan of care to me in great detail. There were no financial surprises when I went back for my procedure today. I have an extremely low tolerance for pain, but I can honestly say that every part of the procedure was painless! Beautiful dentist office. Bright with natural light and such a welcoming staff. The wait is very short, so my wife who has a fear of dentists had little time to get anxious. If dentists give you the jitters – here is the place to lose those shakes. With a broken tooth and an extraction imminent, and no dental insurance, we were ready for a hefty price tag. With their $99 new patient fee, she was ex-rayed and consulted and scheduled for the procedure without going broke. The actual tooth pulling was a reasonable $350. And considering the hand holding by the staff and the amount of gas & novocain, well worth the money. The doctor called a few hours after we left to check on her and again the next morning. It’s been a long time since we got THAT kind of personal connection to a doctor. Fill out your paperwork before you go. Easy appointments. Watch Netflix or use noise cancelling headphones while they work on your teeth. I have already made my cleaning appointment. We have a new dentist!

Dr. Robbins performed my first fillings ever. I was super nervous about it because I had never had a bad experience prior despite extensive invasive orthodontial work. I didn’t want to join the horror story club. I had been putting off any dentist knowing I was going to need fillings. Dr. R was absolutely amazing! It was so comfortable and shockingly pain free. She was very comforting and had just the right balance of informing you what is going on while avoiding stuff that could unnecessarily scare you. Her expertise was very obvious in the relaxed but controlled way she moved through the procedures. I would volunteer to get five more fillings before I would to fold laundry or do dishes. It was that awesome plus you don’t get cuddly fuzzy blankets to do dishes.

They forwarded the registration documents digitally which I was able to easily complete and return back to them. The staff was friendly and professional; and their facilities were top-notch. I had found this place using Google and looking at reviews and ratings. The booking was made by phone. It was a little hard for me to make the booking since they don’t accept foreign numbers and I was calling from France to schedule an appointment for when I would be in Houston. With the help of a friend who was local, we were able to book for me and my husband. The office was a little tricky to find if it is your first time. It is located within an office building so look our for that if its your first visit. When we arrived, the place as very clean, new and tidy. The staff was very kind and easy to talk to. Thankfully we got in at our appointed time. The dentist, assistant and hygienist were great. They did an efficient job in a good amount of time. I would definitely recommend this dentist office to others as they were kind, clean, efficient, and I got to watch Netflix as I was getting my teeth cleaned!!
