I love Dr. Vo and his staff! I had a major dental phobia for several years before going to see Dr. Vo. I hadn’t been to the dentist for something like 5 years because of my anxiety. Dr. Vo and his staff were amazing – I told them I was nervous and they did everything they could to make me feel calm and at ease without making me feel embarassed. Dr. Vo was awesome – I ended up having to get a pretty deep cavity filled and it was my very first pain-free dental experience! He explained everything he was going to do before doing it, and made sure I was OK. Dr. Vo and everyone in his office are really nice and friendly, professional, and knowledgable. I have referred 3 people from my office to him and they are all very happy with him also. I’ll never go to another dentist again as long as Dr. Vo is still practicing!

Amazing! I had some issues that prolonged my visits to the dentist, but I finally was having enough issues I needed to go in and be seen. I was very hesitant seeing a new dentist, as I had seen the same practice since I started going to the dentist. I obtained a referral from a co-worker and made it in. If there’s such thing as an “amazing experience” at the dentist, I had it. I needed a deep cleaning, and the hygienist Jeff, made my experience very easy. I appreciated the office as a whole so much, I actually made it back for a 2nd half deep cleaning and a fill. I obtained a referral for an oral surgeon, and was very pleased with the referral. I will be coming back as needed, and I will refer anyone who needs a new dentist to this office. Every employee I have encountered was great. Thank you!

Dr. Vo and staff are wonderful. I don’t enjoy visiting the dentist and Dr. Vo and his staff make me feel comfortable. He has been my dentist for many years. At one point, I switched to a neighborhood dentist but switched back to Dr. Vo because he’s the best and I figured that driving downtown for a good dentist is worth it. He has done a couple of crowns and his work is outstanding. He’s very gentle and precise. Top notch dentist. They also validate parking at the lot underneath Nordstroms.

Dr. Vo and his amazing staff are everything you want in a dental experience. What I appreciate most is the very caring nature of everyone there–from a basic cleaning, to helping understand my insurance to more detailed dental work–everything is thoughtfully explained and everyone is kind and friendly. Great guy!!! I have been going to this place since I was in graduate school so almost 10 years now and it used to be owned by Tony Kahmann. Dr. Vo took over a few years after I first started going there. He is always involved in every step of the tooth/dentist experience and you definitely see him at every cleaning. It’s a small office but he always takes an interest in getting to know his patients. The longest I have every had to wait was a couple minutes so I’m not even sure why they have magazines but I guess it could be for the escort of some patients. The staff are always easy to talk to, full of smiles, and helpful.

Dr Vo and his staff are caring, honest, hygienic, respectable people whom I highly recommend! Another dentist residing in the Seattle Medical Dental Building whom was moving out of state recommend Dr Vo to me ten years ago. Since then I’ve had regular cleanings, cavity, and crown services. Each time my comfort level was amazing and to have a dentist with excellent bedside manner and actually treat me as a person rather than just a patient really helps. The office is beautiful; each room has doors that shut and are very private. Let’s face it, nobody is excited to go to the dentist. I’m a 42 year old woman who’s had a lot of various dental procedures done since my early 20’s. I feel so fortunate for a local office that I can depend on to be consistent, fair, and generally give a hoot about my quality of day to day and long time dental health. They have a text reminder service for appointment scheduling that is also super convenient and efficient.

So far, I just completed my 3rd visit to Dr Vo and his team, and it’s been the best experience I’ve ever had at the dentist. I just got an overdue deep clean completed by Briana and she did an amazing job. She had to work on me for 2 hours and the results were outstanding. After just one day, I have absolutely no pain or soreness in my gums at all. She walked me through the process patiently and in detail, and also checked in frequently throughout the procedure to see if I was okay. For many years, I’ve been nervous and hated going to the dentist and now i’m completely over my fears and looking forward to improving and fixing my smile. This is the best dentist I’ve ever been to. I have a major phobia of dentists and this is as good as it gets. It all started when I was a kid and I had my tonsils removed. Check out Russian tonsil removal videos on YouTube if you’re interested. I remember being in a dark green room, being tied down to a chair, my mouth propped open with a metal contraption, a metal tray under my mouth and them cutting them open in front of me and blood everywhere. So now whenever I open my mouth at the dentist it all flashes back. For whatever reason, I never got over that. Dr. Vo is always patient and kind with me even the times I’ve panicked and I’ve cried. It is super embarrassing and I do everything I can to relax and not do that but if it happens it’s nice to have a kind person there not making you feel bad about it. Jeff is an amazing dental hygienist. He understands dental phobias and is so kind, caring and patient. He wasn’t rushed and started off chatting to put me at ease and chatted throughout. My teeth feel so clean and no more trauma was introduced. Dare I say the cleaning was almost enjoyable 😉 were it not for my fear of anybody touching my mouth with instruments.

I am writing this review with the right side of my face completely numb, as I just went in for two fillings. I have had a wonderful experience with Dr. Vo. I work in the Medical-Dental building, so his office is extremely convenient for me. The staff is very friendly and professional, and Dr. Vo himself is personable and gentle. (I couldn’t even feel the injections when they numbed my mouth.) He obviously cares for his patients, and he doesn’t try to pressure you into doing anything you’re not ready to do. He and his staff will take good care of you.

I transferred to Dr Vo’s practice from the UW Dental Fears Clinic. I was able to get in pretty quickly, and the staff worked hard to make an anxious patient comfortable. With my first visit they reviewed my outside records, and did a small number of films to check out some problem spots. Then Dr Vo suggested a conservative approach to managing things as they are. The hygenist I see is professional, kind, and makes sure I’m comfortable with every step of the process. Normally my husband has to come to the dentist with me, and hold my hand the whole time. I’m comfortable enough with this team to go by myself. I appreciate the good care I get from them.

My experience here was amazing! The front office staff were very friendly and the hygienist, Jeff, was extremely thorough. He explained everything he was doing so that I understood what the purpose was behind each step of the cleaning. I was very charmed by the service and operations at Dr. Vo’s practice. Being at a place that is pleasantly nice, and efficient is a good thing. I’m used to giving hotels reviews by some of these merits. For coming into this office suddenly due to a dental emergency, I am also struck by the honesty and professionalism of Dr. Vo and his staff as well. While on a weekend vacation I cracked a crown chewing on some candy. My existing dentist was also on vacation for 2 weeks so I couldn’t get care. I began calling around town for different dental providers leaving messages. The following Monday morning the front desk of Dr. Vo’s practice called me first thing and got me in for an emergency exam. Upon entering I found the space very nice and the staff from the front desk, assistants, and hygienists all very personable in a calm and sincere manner. Everyone inquired about my daily life and shared about themselves as well. I found Dr. Vo himself very succinct, clear, honest, and professional. When inquiring about my crown he recommended I not have service done by him, but instead go back to my existing dentist. This surprised me. He explained about different kinds of crowns, average lifetimes and common policies for crowns. I was given an estimate by one of the office people and even offered a payment plan on the sudden costs I might incur. I did visit my earlier dentists office, although they were closed for their Dr’s vacation, the office was still open. The gal there was confused about what to do, records were in piles, and the computer wasn’t working well, she was trying to avoid any statements of fault for my crown breaking due to their work. I tried to explain it really didn’t matter because my dental insurance would cover it. It was an easy choice following this to switch to Dr. Vo as my primary dental provider, and more than him, choose his practice as a whole. On the digital side, for now 4 appointments I’ve received and email notification of the appointment, and receive at least 3 reminder texts preceding my appointments. For people who are busy with conflicting priorities, more reminders are great to have. The people are nice, the service is calm and professional, my mouth is better.

Dr. Vo is literally the best. dentist. ever. and the staff are equally amazing. I had a ton of mouth issues when I first started going to Dr. Vo and over the course of many months he was able to get everything fixed – and his work is honest and awesome. My crowns are rock-solid – my teeth are better than they have been in 15 years. I’ve gone to several dentists and none of them are as compassionate and understanding as Dr. Vo. I was embarrassed to go to the dentist the first time, but Dr. Vo and his staff weren’t judgmental about the train-wreck of a smile I had at the time. They also didn’t judge when I displayed a boy-like fear of the drill and instead made me feel comfortable the entire time. Highly recommend.

I’ve never had any major dental work before, and I came here with my first ever cavity that needed filling, unsure what it entailed. Long story short, Dr. Vo took great care of me, easing any apprehensions I had about the procedure. He made sure I was comfortable the entire time, gave me plenty of background and the “how’s” and “why’s” and all that which I’m sure I annoyed him with. The office itself is very clean, nicely decorated, with really nice fixtures and features. Everybody in the staff was very professional and kind, and I look forward to going to them in the future (as much as I can look forward to a dentist, anyway).

Best experience I’ve ever had at a dental office. The staff are friendly and warm, Jeff ( I believe is his name) was just wonderful. They are extremely thorough and sensitive to all your concerns. I couldn’t imagine someone leaving their office with a bad experience. I never thought I would enjoy a dental exam/cleaning but I actually had a good time there. I’ve been going to see Dr. Vo and his staff for years. First-class experience. Everything from the standard cleaning, x-rays, fillings, retainer maintenance and front office staff have been great. I was a bit reluctant to visit the dentist during these Covid times but the precautions that Dr. Vo has taken put my mind at ease. Shirley (his assistant) and Morgan (the hygienist) were fantastic. Very personable and very professional. Dr. Vo does a beyond thorough job in both his examination as well as his explanation of what he is observing. I hate going to the dentist, but love going to Dr. Vo and his team, they are super friendly, no unnecessary work, and gentle. Even though they are no longer a preferred dental provider with my insurance (as of this year) I will continue to see them, as it took my 10 years to find someone as good as my uncle who retired. They are taking all the necessary precautions with COVID, one of the things I like best is each chair is in its own room, floor to ceiling walls with a door (this was the setup prior to COVID), they are also mitigating particles in the air by not using the electric tools as much, only when necessary. They are using extra PPE to help protect themselves and their clients and following all necessary precautions possible for everyone. I would most definitely recommend Dr. Vo and team!!

I’ve had many dentists and lots of dental work over the years, and I feel more at ease with Dr. Vo, and more confident in his skill, judgement, and technique, than any other dentist I’ve had. And I loved a couple of them! He has terrific chairside manner. He takes his time, explains everything well, and really cares about you. Same goes for his staff. This office is beautiful and everything about this place is just easy. I called and made an appointment, had my records transferred from my previous dentist and was good to go. New patient appointments can take as long as 2 hours so I would schedule as much, although mine only took about an hour. The woman who cleaned my teeth was really easy to talk to and was really friendly. I think I’m in the minority but I definitely enjoy getting my teeth cleaned. Dr. Vo came in afterwards, checked me out, gave me the thumbs up on my chompers and I was good to go. Scheduled for 6 months out and was on my way. Easy peasy. I was sad to leave my old dentist, but happy to know I have equally great care only a few blocks from work and home.

LOVE LOVE LOVE! I’ve had a past with dentist offices with being pretty crappy. This place? This place was not crappy in any way. The staff here are all wonderful and understanding. They are also on the top of their game and are aware of who you are and keep tabs on you. It’s not in a creepy way you may be thinking. Lori/Lauren (Forgot your name Sorry!!) worked on my teeth and she was great! She educated me on my concerns and had also kept me in the loop to what she was working on. Dr. Vo came in and checked on the work that was done, and he as well educated me on what was up. He was super professional and nice. I think…..I know I now look forward to going to the dentist…for the first time….in 26 years. THEY CURED ME OF MY PHOBIA AND WEREN’T JERKS! Go here. I could not be happier with Dr. Vo and his staff. They are open-minded, friendly and they never make you feel bad about your dental problems. I had been putting off some major dental work after numerous bad experiences with dentists and I reluctantly made an appt. with Dr. Vo upon the recommendation of a friend. I could not have been happier about my experience. They didn’t shame me for neglecting to take care of the problems earlier and their optimistic attitude made me feel a lot better. Dr. Vo and his team put together a treatment plan with my budget and schedule in mind and never pressured me to do anything I couldn’t afford. This is the first time I’ve gone to a dentist and not been physically ill from anxiety upon leaving. Dr. Vo’s staff is also really fantastic. Rena is kind, flexible and really great. Sarah is also awesome and hilarious, which makes the experience a lot less stressful. If your lucky her visiting seagull will come hang out on the window ledge while you’re there. Oh and I’ve been quite pleased with the results of their work too.

My teeth feel fantastic and the cleaning and x-rays were painless. I did not feel pressured to add extra services. Dr. Vo wasn’t much for smiling, but he was conversational. This was my second visit at their establishment, and I am really happy with everything and everyone. The staff is truly terrific, including the front desk staff and the dental hygienist. I was nervous about my teeth cleaning that required anesthesia, mainly because of the needle work that goes into it, and Dr. Thomas came over and reassured me that I was not being too paranoid, and helped me to figure out how I wanted to carry out the process. I am thankful for people who care, and I am ever so grateful for their very humane establishment. Thomas Vo & his staff are awesome! They reside on floor 16 of the Medical Dental Building in a somewhat tucked away office (you have to walk all the way around from the elevators, essentially turning right 3 times). They recently renovated their offices and the waiting room and patient rooms are really nice. If you’re anything like me, you’re tense about going to the dentist… but Thomas and staff are very approachable and do a great job of answering any questions or easing any fears. Their procedures are quite painless and stress free and you can typically get an appointment quickly. The staff is very friendly and attentive with great senses of humor — They can also tell you right away if they accept your insurance and are really good about following up after you’ve had any work done or on getting paperwork from your old office if you’re a new patient. Lindsay even took the time to call me to let me know that she called my insurance company right after my appointment to let me know they would cover some of the final payment for my invisalign. Everyone in the practice is super friendly and knowledgeable and they do quality work, even taking note of personal changes in your life and congratulating you on your big life events. Your appointments will definitely start on time if that’s ever been a problem in your past (like it’s been with me before) and you’ll be in and out before you know it. All in all, very happy with this office and how fantastic their work and they themselves are. FYI: Dr. Vo also does Invisalign! I was really happy when I found out he and his staff are able to do this. The staff and Dr. Vo are very meticulous in following your invisalign and make little tweeks to your teeth and care as you go along. At some point a bracket of mine popped off and Dr. Vo replaced it right away.

I have been a patient of Dr. Vo for about 15 years. Today I went in for a consult on a back molar with a deep cavity. He described my two treatment options in terms of best long term outcomes and cost. I actually used Yelp to find this Dentist (thank you to all the great reviews). The reviews of Dr. Vo were spot on! The atmosphere of the office/lobby doesn’t make you feel like you’re in a dentist office. The receptionists were so friendly and you take care of all the paperwork online before you get there, so you’re instantly ready for your appointment. The office was very modern and had a bright feel to it. I love that you have a great view of the city, it really takes your mind off of why you’re there. The hygienist was super friendly and made sure to ask if anything in particular was bothering me so she could work and keep me confortable. Once Dr. Vo came in he already knew everything about me. He sat down and explained what he wanted to do and made a plan. I needed to see another specialist and he recommended one in the building who was also able to see me that day. He has a great relationship with all the other specialists in the building! His reputation is very good! In my opinion he is one of the best dentists I have ever been to.

THE BEST DENTIST and DENTAL STAFF!!!! For over 30 years, I have had a huge fear of dentists due to a bad incident when I was a child. This fear caused me to not be as diligent and responsible on my dental appointments. Then i found Dr. Vo. From the first meeting, I felt at ease; still filled with huge anxiety but his conversation made me feel so comfortable and I knew, I was in great care. My last 2 appointments confirmed it. Both my husband and I go to Dr. Vo. One one the hardest things when you move is finding a good dentist. I love Dr. Vo because he is efficient, caring, and to the point. They makes notes (or they have phenomenal memories) of what you talked about in the previous meeting that are not dentistry related so they can pick up the conversation as soon as you step in. The dental assistants are incredibly gentle with your teeth and gums and Dr. Thomas Vo is really nice. It’s a very professional practice and you can tell they care about customer service — you even get a little goody bag after you leave, which contains Dr. Thomas Vo’s chapstick (which I LOVE — smells like coconut and has very simple ingredients,) a toothbrush, floss, and a mini-tube of toothpaste. They also give you sun-goggles when you sit down in the chair so the bright light doesn’t bother you and your eye makeup doesn’t get messed up from the dentist rubbing against it, and it protects your eyes from getting water that bounces out of your mouth from the dental spray into your eyes. I recommend this practice to all my friends. It’s in-network for Amazon.

I started seeing Dr. Vo when Dr. Karman retired and Dr. Vo took over his practice. I fell in love with Dr. Vo and I cannot say enough about him. I would refer people from my office and all that went loved him also. I had quite extensive treatment. I had five dental implants at UW Dental. Dr. Vo did the abutments, crown and bridge that were needed. He did a fabulous job and worked closely with dentist . I can say enough about Dr. Vo.. I retired a month ago and moved out to the coast and I will return to Dr. Vo for my check ups.

He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biochemistry in 2000 and his DDS degree in 2005, both from the University of Washington. Dr. Vo and his wife Lucy, live on Bainbridge Island with their four kids and dog Opie.
