My husband and I were seen at Uptown Dental Associates today for the first time and we loved and appreciated our time there!! I was impressed with the operations of the office. It is very clear they all communicate about each and every patient in a detailed manner. COVID policies in place made us feel safe. Everyone was so nice and professional. We loved our hygienists Doria and Stacy and enjoyed our time with Dr. Greaves. Top notch!!

Dr. Greaves and his staff are extraordinary, professional, and expedient. I never spend much time in the office or waiting to be seen. Everyone is thorough with their explanations and answers all of my questions. I would and do recommend them to my friends and family. As an added bonus, the office is designed with the sole purpose of relaxing you and making you feel at home. You open the doors to a room that resembles a well lit living room with a fireplace overlooking a beautiful zen atrium (conveniently all exam rooms are afforded a substantial view of the same atrium). The dentist sits on bouncy balls instead of chairs and everyone knows your name and says hello or goodbye cheerfully. Everything is well thought out from design, to the medications designed to keep you safe and comfortable prior to a procedure. You could not want for a better place to care for your mouth.

They make going to the dentist as pleasant as possible. The waiting room and views from each of the dentist chairs once you are in is reminiscent of a spa. The staff are knowledgeable and kind. They do offer items for purchase that feels a little sales-pitchy but are receptive to the decline and don’t push further. Also, they are super helpful working through what is an what isn’t covered by insurance and working with you on budgeting.

For someone who used to hate going to the Dentist, Uptown Dental Associates has made going to the dentist an enjoy place. Not only is the staff extreamilty welcoming and friendly but their facility is beautiful and calming! I’ve never had to wait more then 5 minutes to be taken back to get a cleaning, which is great for anyone who is always on the go. I highly recommended!!! Thank you Uptown Dental for making my experience with you a wonderful one! Oooh and if you refer new patient they send you a wonderful gift as a Thank you.

I was a patient of Dr. Kocher for 15 years when I met Jaime. Not only is she the best hygienist I’ve ever met, she’s the most friendly and caring health care provider I’ve ever encountered. Dr. Sheppard and now Dr. Greaves should be delighted that she’s part of the practice. Treat her as well as she treats her patients and you will attract many more patients who want first class care. This is a first class practice that I recommend without reservation. I’ve been a patient here since Dr. Kocher retired; never been happier with my dentist!

Always a great and efficient experience. Love Dr. Shepherds assistant Jasmine as well as Dr Shepherd! Also the most through cleaning I’ve ever had in my life EDIT: 6/2020 I would like to add that Dr Greaves is also nothing short of amazing! I saw him for my wisdom teeth and 13 hours later, anesthesia is well worn off and I haven’t taken a single pain medication! I literally put this off for eight years because it made me so nervous and I didn’t feel a need, but after Dr Shepherd got me through Invisalign perfectly, I didnt want to risk the teeth going crooked again and then one grew in! I’m pretty sure Dr. G is an angel dentist. Thank you again uptown dental!

I feel so thankful to have found Uptown Dental Associates. When we went for a cleaning several months ago, I was so happy with the facetime I got with the doctor. I never felt pressured by any of the staff. I’ve had experiences with dentist who constantly try to “upcharge” and I never felt that way here. I had an issue recently that I felt I needed to see a dentist for. I called in the morning and saw a doctor that afternoon! I love UDA!

Well if you are searching for a dentist that cares about what you go through while you’re at the dentist as well as how you look. For the job they do then this is the place for you not only do tey make you comfortable as well as make you look better than you ever have since you were in in high school I have not smiled this wide in years thank you so much again for the beautiful done job done on my teeth

I had an exceptional experience at Uptown Dental Associates yesterday. First of all, the building is beautiful, inside and out, which matters to me. The receptionist was helpful and friendly. Emily, my hygienist, was very pleasant and gave me a gentle, top notch cleaning. I genuinely liked her. Finally, my new dentist, Dr. Jacob Greaves, was personable, empathetic, and low pressure, which was a very welcome change of pace for me. Thank-you all so much! I will be happy to recommend this office to my family members and friends!

I’ve been going here for many years, at the recommendation of a friend. It was the best decision I made. Although I was previously seen by a dentist who was very good, his prices were out of my reach once I retired. I’ve been extremely pleased with the professionalism and exacting care I’ve received from everyone on staff, and cannot tell you how relieved I am to know I’m getting the best care at an affordable price. Kelly has been cleaning my teeth gently and thoroughly for many years, and I cannot praise her enough. I love everyone on staff, and have no qualms about recommending them to everyone.

First visit. They took over my retired dentist patients. I was very impressed and happy. Staff were all amazing and friendly. Procedure was seamless and comfortable. Nice clean spacious environment. View was soothing and relaxing. They seemed to have top of the line technology. I was also impressed with their covid 19 protocols. I felt safe and at ease. Thank You. After trying several different dental practices in Albuquerque and being disappointed, I finally feel like I found the one! It was so easy to get an appointment. The staff is so friendly and organized and *competent*. From the front desk, to the assistants and hygienists, to the doctors! The facility is amazing; very modern, comfortable, and clean. They have a beautiful courtyard view from the patient exam chairs. They have the latest technology and equipment. They use the most conservative plan of treatment possible and don’t use up your insurance or give you surprise bills later on. They show you exactly what it will cost and what insurance covers and the estimate is actually accurate! The communication is on point.. It really feels like an out of Albuquerque experience. I have nothing bad or critical to say about Uptown Dental Associates. I’d rate them 10 stars if I could!

Dr Greaves is very gentle and very quick to do his work. I had to be prepared for 2 crowns (for a bridge) today, and was in and out in just about an hour. The assistants and front desk staff are just great. Everyone is super friendly and sensitive to your needs. They answer all your questions no matter how many you have. I was impressed the first time I went there because they could get me in the schedule right away (for an urgent consult) for only $50. Their restorative dentistry prices are very competitive, actually less than the so called affordable dentist that I used to go to. I’m very glad I made the switch to Dr Greaves.

Dr. Shepherd is excellent. Doria Wood is the best blend of professional and practical/personable. The whole team is truly friendly and professional. They do a great job of explaining what they want to do and making sure I’m comfortable. That’s the high standard I’ve become used to over years of experience. Then I had an unexpected concern and the team went out of there way to take care of me quickly. From Jessica and the team at the front desk, to Casey who took an X-ray, everyone was super, even though I know it was outside of normal scheduled work. Dr. Greaves (who I was meeting for the first time) and Doria were a well oiled machine and had me feeling better and confident of the outcome. I can’t thank all of the Uptown Dental Group enough.

The entire staff was very knowledgeable and kind. They were both informative and helpful, providing encouraging solutions for all of the issues my wife and I were experiencing without ever making us feel guilty after having not been to a dentist in several years. The front desk personnel also were able to help navigate difficult insurance issues and inquiries. Possibly the best cleaning and overall experience I’ve ever had going to the dentist. Highly recommend.

This was my first visit, and I really liked it. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and reassuring. I have young children and was nervous about bringing them along until I called Uptown Dental and was assured that they wouldn’t be a problem. The office itself was clean, open, calming, and tasteful. They had some toys, puzzles, and books for my kids, and they had a fireplace in the waiting area, which I loved. I like offices where the staff like working there, and this felt like it was one of those places.

Very professional, from the uniformed staff all the way to the Dr.. The level of professionalism is very appreciated as it is not apparent in every business. I also appreciate employees who appear to enjoy their jobs. Something new that I noticed was the very quiet atmosphere in the waiting room. The dental hygienist walked up to me, because of their photo ID’s, and asked me to go back to the examining room with her. No brash announcing, just polite talk. I’m impressed.

I’ve been in Albuquerque for about a month. I thought I had lost a filling. A co-worker recommended Uptown Dental Associates. I went there, not knowing what to expect. The lobby looks like a hotel lobby, and I was greeted by a very nice receptionist. I filled out a new-patient form, which was ridiculously thorough. I think they can shorten it a bit. They took my picture, which was used for the dental hygienist to recognize me. I waited in the lobby for about 2 minutes. The dental hygienist was very nice, friendly, and thorough. They contacted my previous dentist to obtain current x-rays and took a panoramic (free of charge). The dentist viewed my filling, which turned out to be a chipped ceramic of a crown, which he said needs no attention. He also examined a [recently] missing canine and provided me advice on an implant versus bridge. I just wanted a dentist to check a filling, and I was told that they could squeeze me in the schedule, but could only advise me on the filling, which would be needed to be taken care of at a later date. But what I got was an extremely thorough exam by a very efficient friendly staff. I couldn’t be happier.

A molar broke while I was at work and I was in real pain. I had put off choosing a dentist since moving to NM, so I was basically at the mercy of google reviews. This place did not disappoint! All staff were compassionate and explained everything. The dentist is knowledgeable and sought to make my experience as comfortable as possible. Needed 2 crowns, and both got done the same day I walked in without an appointment. Being a needle phobic, hyperventilating, scaredy-cat I was very hesitant. All was good and I would recommend this dentist’s office to anyone.

I love this dental office! Beautiful building, comfortable waiting room. The staff and doctors are consistently polite, efficient and knowledgeable. Most importantly the doctors are skilled and up to date on newest techniques. My daughter has phobia of dentists due to a past very bad experience. This practice has the ability to help her anxiety with nitrous, oral sedation when needed. She now feels so comfortable with her provider that she no longer needs anything for anxiety.

Facility was gorgeous. Reception exceeded my expectations. Staff were incredibly cheerful and pleasant to interact with. Clearly a very well run office and team. Dental hygienist explained every step in the cleaning process and what to expect. I trusted her completely. Very thorough. Dr. Greaves was engaging and seemed genuinely interested in my concerns and my it’s health. Very positive experience.

I could not recommend Uptown Dental Associates enough. This is a world-class dental facility with great staff. Namely, I have worked with Dr. Jacob Greaves and Kelly Bower. In addition to those two, their Front Office staff is quick, friendly, and patient-focused. Great work, Uptown Dental team!
