I have been to many dentists in San Francisco – from the dental school to the Hollywood Star dentist. FINALLY (!!! yippie !!!) I have found THE BEST in Valencia Dental Center’s Dr. Santiago and his team of professionals. From caps to cleaning their services are exceptional. Prices are very good and they will work with your insurance company to confirm procedures are qualified and billings paid for. I am a nervous ninny when it comes to my teeth. VDC’s environment is so friendly and relaxed that I can have all but the most extensive procedure without the nitrous oxide. They will keep you informed throughout the procedure or will be mum while you zone out on Pandora! As a patient here you will be listened to and respected. They provide insights to your various options with honesty and integrity. It is like having your most trusted friend or family member keeping your mouth healthy. You cannot go wrong here! Make an appointment with confidence – with the staff that is passionate about teeth and oral hygiene – they know it better than any I have found in San Francisco.

Great doctor. Thoroughly explained the dangers of periodontal disease and how bone cannot grow once damaged. I am at this point, unfortunately, due to incorrectly flossing my teeth for many years. Ironically, I brush my teeth after every meal, but I guess tartar had built up along the gum line. I could tell Dr. Uribe was irritated that I was not doing what he prescribed, which was flossing properly every night–again, I ironically do this already. His manner seemed a bit rush, but I can sympathize, as he had other patients to see to. He answered all of my questions and provided explanations, but his dental assistants were very helpful in differentiating between proper and improper flossing with demonstrations–I mean, how was I supposed to know what “hugging the tooth” meant when it came to flossing?

The entire staff is very friendly and professional. I feel very comfortable there- and I had refused to go to the dentist for 12 years so that’s sayin a lot. Dr. Uribe does excelant work and takes the time to make sure my bite is the same at the end of each procedure. In addition to all of this they are very affordable.

My first visit to this dentist was a good experience. Everybody were very friendly and the waiting wasn’t bad, a few min after my appointment time. I went there for a cleaning and the dentist assistant and dentist as well were very informative, they walk you through every step they are doing and make you feel very welcome and comfortable. I guess this is helpful for those who don’t like to go to the dentist. Also, I asked a few question for possible teeth alignement treatments and I was very satisfied with the information I got. As to how they handled Covid, they all wear masks and the receptionist, needless to say how kind and attentive she was, is behind a plexiglass to protect not only herself but the patients who visit the space. Totally recommend Dr. Abhilasha and crew!

I have been going to Valencia Dental Center since 2013, when I was recommended by Dr. Luque from Faces of the Mission, and I adore them. I used to have to get cleanings every 3 months because of my lack of insurance, lax habits and general fears due to past experiences with other dentists. I have seen Dr. Farwaha mostly, also Dr. Uribe and Dr. Luque each once. Together we have improved my dental health so much so that 1)my gums don’t bleed, 2)I get cleanings every 6 months and 3)I don’t break into a sweat every time I go to the dentist. I like their kindness and patience with me. Joy and Dr. Farwaha are awesome!

I am surprised that anyone would leave nasty reviews during this crazy pandemic. Especially for something as minor as not getting a follow-up call after the appointment that you missed. The entitlement is stunning. Having said my piece and after reading the aforementioned nasty reviews I feel compelled to share my experience with this practice. I have been coming here for 3+ years, and have had positive experiences overall. The staff has always been friendly, professional, and easy to work with. They have always communicated with me before and after my appointments and the work I have had done has been excellent. I very much appreciate that all procedures are explained, different options have always been presented, and they are upfront about the costs. Speaking of costs, twice I mistakenly thought that my insurance would cover the full cost of my visit so I didn’t bring my wallet with me when I walked over for my appointment. They didn’t freak out or bar the door to prevent me from leaving without payment. They didn’t even guilt me, they just billed me. That is an example of the level of respect they extend to their patients. Obviously, I highly recommend them.

I recently went to Valencia Dental to get a routine type cleaning & x-rays. It had been a really long time (embarrassingly long) since I went to the dentist. My anxiety is what prolonged the wait more than anything to go back and maintain my oral health. Luckily I had a friend / client that recommended the team at Valencia Dental Center on 20th and I booked an appt with Dr. Santiago Uribe and he was absolutely perfect. considering how much you could potentially spend on oral health with or without dental insurance is scary especially if you’re not totally pleased or educated on what’s going on during the appointment. My lack of good experiences in the past set a standard that made me fear going back, but this was not the case with Dr. Uribe. I am so happy I was referred there. I have already have gone back to get a cavity filled and have another appt. in a few weeks to do the same. Super happy my teeth are going to be happy and healthy again and I’m sending my friends and partner to Valencia Dental Center next. Their prices are very fair, they’re not taking advantage of anyone at all in that way and the rest of the staff was amazing as well. Ps. my temperature was taken by the receptionist before sitting down to wait for the dentist in the waiting area and everything is really clean and sanitary and above COVID standards.

First at all I hate going to my dental check up, but I have to tell you, somebody recommended me this place and I have change my way of thinking about dentist. Number one they treat you like a person and they go through out all your dental history, which make me think they are worry about my full dental health and no worried about to make the quick buck. Second they personal are very friendly and they care about your fears and third, I got a full front veneers and let me tell you, they look great. I feel now more confident about myself and my smile look great it’s hat so that I get more attention anywhere I go lol. Anyways fully recomended.

I started my journey with them early this year with my son. He decided to get braces I must say they could not make the process any easier. They are friendly responsible gentle and caring. Today we finally got them on and he is a happy camper. Dr. Uribe is knowledgeable and excellent with the kids..very caring you can tell he lo es what he does his assistant always gentle and making you feel at ease and when you come into the office you get greatest a smile by Leyda they immediately give you a sense of comfort. I came here because I read really good reviews on zocdoc and was in need of a new dentist. It was a constant struggle trying to schedule an appointment with my last dental office, so when I called Valencia they were able to put me in right away. I went in for a cleaning with Dr.Flores who well explained what kind of cleaning i needed, why i needed it and how to continue. I also came in for fillings with Dr.Uribe and was thankful for how he wanted me to walk out with everything being done perfectly. As far as the front office, i appreciate them taking the time to thoroughly explain my insurance to me, we all know that insurance can be a pain and sometimes too difficult to understand once you get your statements in the mail. But they made sure I walked out with no questions.

Amazing dentist. By far the best I’ve had. Prior to finding Dr. Uribe, I had a number of difficult experiences with dentist offices in the Bay Area. Dr. Uribe and his practice are professional, helpful, kind and practical. They are extremely thorough and make recommendations tailored to your personal situation. The office staff is very helpful with billing and willing to work with patients on navigating insurance issues. Excellent all around. Every doctor’s office should be this good!

I was born and raised in Medellín, Colombia and completed my dental education at CES University before working as a general dentist there. I moved to California in 2009 and graduated with my DDS from UCSF. I love going out and enjoying nature as much as possible. I enjoy riding my bike around town and also like to go to the wilder trails of California to go camping and mountain biking. I am an easygoing and unpretentious person. I love the diversity in San Francisco, which is one of my favorite cities in the world! I believe maintaining good oral health helps us stay healthy by being able to have proper nutrition and smile as much as we can. I love to help people maintain their oral health by providing excellent dental care and educate our patients to work in the prevention of diseases. Music keep me happy. I love going through record shop bins and finding those hidden gems to add to my record collection. I also love growing flowers and food. Being out in nature is a way to cope.
