I’ve been a patient of Dr. Varano since he opened his practice here in Garden City South many many years ago. I’ve had many fillings, root canals, extractions and crowns over those years done by Dr. Varano. I’ve never had any pain during or after any of the procedures he has done for me. He even numbs you gums prior to giving you a Novocain shot so the discomfort is minimal. He has a very delicate manner of working and such excellent results that I wouldn’t even think of seeing another dentist.

Dr. Varano and his staff are pleasant, patient, and educated. I’ve had many bad dental experiences in other offices (closer to my new home), but always wind up coming back here. Even with the distance, Dr. Varano’s office is worth it for the bedside manner and knowledge, alone. I always leave that office feeling fantastic, regardless of what procedure was performed, and have never experience any sort of pain or discomfort- whether for a cavity fill or a wisdom tooth extraction. Whenever I enter the office, I feel like Dr. Varano and his staff know exactly who I am- asking about my son and life events, as well as extensive (almost intuitive) knowledge about my dental history, which is all impressive, considering there are years between visits, in some cases! They take the time to explain procedures and answer questions. I can’t recommend this office enough!

Dr. Varano and the staff are great. They always make sure you are very comfortable during any procedures, even during things like xrays. Something that really stood out for me was Dr. Varano’s attention to detail. We had a crown built by a lab and when it came in it fit perfectly (perfectly exact measurements were taken, but that’s not the point of the story.) Even though the fit was perfect, there was a small area near the gums that just wasn’t perfect and the doc sent it back to the lab to fix it. I have been to a lot of dentists over the years, and I am not sure that many of them would have sent it back. Overall I am very pleased with my experience here and look forward to many years of healthy teeth.

Dr. Varano and the entire staff are wonderful. Dr. Varano takes on any questions you may have, and will explain everything very clearly. My favorite thing about Dr. Varano is that I’ve never experienced any type of pain from any procedure and that includes any novacaine injections. The hygienists are very knowledgable, friendly and extremely great at what they do. Lastly, the front desk ladies are the type that remember you and your voice, you’re not just another patient there, but a family member.

Dr. Varano has been my dentist since I was a baby and I have never been disappointed with his service. He was especially helpful recently when I fell and cracked both of my front teeth. I thought I would look like a hillbilly for the rest of my life but he cleared his schedule to bring me in the next day and within an hour he had reconstructed my teeth to look even better than my actual front teeth. I love them so much and I am so thankful! Going back next week for permanent caps.

Dr Varano has been my dentist for 25 years and he I s he’s also my 20-year-old daughter and my 18 year-old son’s dentist since they were babies. My daughter had an unfortunate accident while at a sporting event yesterday that resulted in her cracking in half her two front teeth. Dr Varano took my call Sunday and assured me he would meet me at his office on Monday morning, Please note he does not normally see patients in his office on Monday’s as he does rounds at Winthrop University Hispital. Dr varano met and sat with me and my daughter – explained what all the options were, took x-rays but then proceedeh to put on temporaries so that she could return back to college. It was a very long 90 minutes as I waited but then went back into the exam room to see my daughter and her temporaries and all I could do was cry at seeing just how beautiful he made my daughter look again!!! Dr Varano is not only talented and patient but he is a true gentleman with an excellent bedside manner. My daughter and I appreciate so much what he did for her today and can’t thank him enough for being the person that he is . Dental assistants are knowledgeable, efficient, courteous, considerate of patients’ comfort, and strive to make patients’ experiences good ones. They must take their cue from Dr. V, who takes the time to explain patient problems as he sees them from exam & xrays, and then explains what procedures are best. He seeks confirmation from his patients, a calming thing as some dental procedures might upset some. All in all, a good practice!

I have started using Doctor Varano in the last 6 months after being with my last dentist for over 30 years. Using a new dentist is a brand new experience. I tried using one in my home town but was not satisfied with him locally. I then found Doctor Varano and was extremely happy with his dental office, his professionalism, expertise and knowledge. You can have a conversation with him and get a good understanding of the dental procedures. His office is first rate and very proficient. Dr. Varano’s staff is so pleasant from the minute you walk in. His dental assistant who took my x-rays was to gentle and made me feel very comfortable. She explains step by step what she is doing in a caring way. Dr. Varano takes his time explaining what the dental plan will be after he sees the x-rays. He is so thorough and willing to explain and answer any questions you may have. He has a light and gentle touch when working on your mouth. I was so nervous about going to the Dentist during a Pandemic – I waited until I had both vaccines and everyone in Dr. Varano’s office was masked and being cautious to keep us all safe. You wait outside until they are ready for you to be taken into the back for dental services. I am glad I found this Dental Practice through my daughter and would sincerely recommend Dr. Varano to others.

Everyone in this office is so pleasant and kind. I was walked through every step of what was being done. He and his staff, including hygienists and front desk staff, are friendly and professional each and every time I see them. During the pandemic, extra precautions have been taken including all staff wearing masks, rooms being sanitized between use, and plastic curtains to contain germs in exam rooms. They send appointment reminders via text and email, and also call to make sure you’ll be attending your appointment. The hygienists (I’ve had Cheuck and LeAnna) are friendly, thorough and gentle. I would definitely recommend this practice.

When he closed his Brooklyn office and just worked out of Garden City, we would make the trip to him from Brooklyn. Now we are in New Jersey and cannot find a dentist like him.
