Dr. Hakopyan is a consummate professional in every way. I made an appointment to see him after not visiting any dentist for a long time. I was nervous to say the least but that all went away the moment I met him. He is very easy going and calm. After I talked to him about a pain I was having, he advised me that the filling was very old and had split. He cleaned out the old filling and refilled it. The entire appointment was very fast and he was so gentle I didn’t feel a thing! Anyone nervous about dentistry should come and see him. Furthermore, the office is brand new and everything is state of the art. I would recommend him to everyone.

Dr. Hakopyan is not only the most professional dentist I have ever been to, but he is an absolute expert in his field. I have been to several dentists before visiting Verdugo Hills Dental Group and my experiences and expectations always fell short. I have had two wisdom teeth pulled out, a root canal done, and several cavities filled by Dr. Hakopyan and I am so pleased and happy with the results time and time again. He has the lightest hand and I have never experienced any pain after any procedure. After he had pulled out two of my wisdom teeth, I remember friends of mine dumbfounded at the fact that I was in absolutely no pain and healed so perfectly. Recently, I had a root canal done by Dr. Hakopyan and I felt amazing after! (I mean, who in the world would feel amazing after a root canal?!). In August of 2015 I had a root canal done at a different dental office and I have never in my life experienced so much pain after the procedure was done. I cannot thank Dr. Hakopyan and his staff enough!

Dr. Hakopyan is an amazing dentist! My daughter is a new patient of his and today she had 5 root canals done! (Yes her teeth are in pretty bad shape!) The whole process only took 2 hours and was painless. She has never been to a more gentle and caring dentist in her life! She highly recommends Dr. Hakopyan and his awesome assistant!!! They are so friendly and thorough, words can’t express how happy she is to be a patient there!

Coming into Verdugo Hills Dental group, I was very nervous. I had been to another dentist in town and they didn’t do very good work. My teeth are very sensitive and the aides were rough with the floss and made my gums bleed. I have receding gums and even though I floss and brush regularly, I tend to get cavities easily. The staff at Verdugo Hills Dental group were very kind and considerate. They make you feel at ease and comfortable. They are attentive and show that they really care about their patients. They seem very well organized and the whole staff there is great. Not only did Dr. Hakopyan do great work but he was very thorough. He polished my front teeth and did an amazing job on the fillings. You can tell that he is a very experienced and well practiced dentist. I am so glad that I found their office and I love the staff there!

Dr Vahagn Hakopyan the best dentist by far if you are looking for a professional treatment for your teeth. I have been to many dentists in the past 6 decades ever since I was 13. Dr Vahagn is accurate and very considerate and works to take care of your dental issues & not for his pocket as many usually do these days. I highly recommend Dr Hakopyan to everyone living in Glendale or Los Angeles. If you have an emergency case, his office will set you up promptly with no fuss. Today was my fourth visit of Dr Vahagn during the past 2 years and I could not resist to write this review although I had never done it before.

My first time here was in June 2019. I was a bit nervous and out of sorts that day. But the staff was so kind, personable, and patient. The hygienist was so sweet, and very funny. The Dr. was also kind, gentle with my teeth and made sure I was comfortable. The office assistant/ secretary “Sandra” is amazing and does a thorough job with all the accounting and insurance policies! Wonderful dentist office. I highly recommend.

Dr. Hakopyan has been my dentist for a few years now and I’ve had nothing but excellent results in my dental work. When I switched over from my previous dentist, I needed to get some work done that included handling cavities, a root canal and an implant. I could not have picked a better dentist – Dr. Hakopyan was great and I am very happy with the results. His work and work manner is great and he makes going to the dentist, not a painful, but pleasant experience. I like to ask questions so I understand, as a patient, what is going on and he explains everything very well. I had a fantastic visit with Dr. Hakopyan. He and his staff made me feel extremely comfortable in their new, state-of-the-art office. No one really likes to visit the dentist. So, why not go to someone who makes the experience easy and who really cares. I am a new patient of Dr. Hakopyan. He is very professional, and the office and work area as clean as an operating room. I told the Dr. I had immense pain in my mouth and everything hurt. He took several x-rays and in minutes explained every last thing that was going on with my teeth. First procedure completed was the dreadful wisdom teeth. The Dr extracted all 4 teeth, in the same sitting. I couldn’t even tell, couldn’t feel a thing. The procedure went very well. Took about a little over an hour and I even drove home after. He made me feel comfortable and with his guidance and his professional work, the healing process took no longer than a few days. This has a lot to do with how carefully and gently the teeth were extracted. Second procedure was 5 fillings on my right side, top and bottom. Using UV lights and a unique enamel color filling, he was done in about an hour. Agin no pain, no discomfort. All 5 fillings done with the upmost care and precision. Most importantly between both major procedures he made sure I was comfortable the entire time. Made sure nothing hurt and went out of his way to make things convenient for me. Everything was clean, easy and stress free. Going to the dentist now is a completely different and new experience.I look forward to my future appointments. Who says that about a dentist? Thank you Dr. Hakopyan no more pain!

My visit with Dr. Hakopyan was better than I could ask for. I had a lot of work that needed to be done on my teeth in a very short amount of time (basically a day) and he and his team took me in and did all the work they had to do. He changed a bunch of old fillings and filled in some new ones very quickly and efficiently. It really meant a lot that he listened to my concerns and did his best to get everything done in time. Dr. Hakopyan and his staff were excellent in treating me. I went to a couple of months ago because his office accepted my new insurance (whereas my previous dentist, who was very good too, did not). Dr. Hakopyan filled a cavity and cleaned my teeth. After a few months, I can honestly say that he did a fantastic job. He was professional, patient and gentle. I was particularly impressed by his technique and his use of the latest technology. He explained exactly what he wanted to do, how he was going to do it and what he recommended. I will have a little bit of work to do on receding gums, and will definitely go back to Dr. Hakopyan for this work. I appreciate that he was not pushy so that I could budget properly and make an appointment after the holidays. This is a dentist who clearly deserves recognition and I am happy to endorse him.

Verdugo Hills Dental Group is located in Montrose, CA and led by Dr. Vahagn Hakopyan DDS. Dr. Hakopyan is dedicated to making your dental experience a positive, friendly and informative one from minute your walk to the time you step out. We are conveniently located near Glendale, La Crescenta, La Canada, and Pasadena. Our building provides free parking making your trip to our dental office an easy one. Dr. Vahagn Hakopyan has been a long and proud member of the Glendale and La Crescenta communities. Having grown up and schooled in Glendale (Horace Mann elementary, Roosevelt Middle School, Glendale High School), Dr. Hakopyan would like nothing better than to serve and provide excellent dental care to this enclave of prosperity. Having the opportunity to open his practice in the Montrose area, Dr. Hakopyan feels that it his duty to give back to the community that has given so much to him and his family. Dr. Hakopyan graduated from Glendale High School in 1999 and went on to UCLA for his undergraduate studies. He would eventually graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Psycho-Biology with and Armenian Studies minor in 2004. At UCLA, Dr. Hakopyan decided to devote himself to dentistry and the betterment of those around him. Upon graduation, he opted immediately to start dental school at the prestigious and extremely competitive NYU College of Dentistry. There, the doctor was exposed to a great amount of clinical knowledge and experience as well as a rigorous academic curriculum. Graduating in 2008, although being offered numerous opportunities on the East Coast, Dr. Hakopyan felt that he needed to return home to Southern California. This is where he wished to be, with his family and community. Patiently waiting for his licensure to commence, Dr. Hakopyan began practicing dentistry in 2008, all the while gaining invaluable knowledge through research and continuing education courses. Beginning August 2009, Dr. Hakopyan became a member of the BrightNow! Dental group of practices. Initially an associate dentist at their Burbank office, Dr. Hakopyan quickly earned the position of a managing dentist at the Lancaster. Afterwards the opportunity to relocate to Granada Hills, brought Dr. Hakopyan closer to home. It was during these years that the doctor contemplated opening up his own private practice. In Montrose he found an ideal location and situation. After many months of hard work and preparation, Verdugo Hills Dental Group was finally unveiled. This is where Dr. Hakopyan decided to build his career.
