Villa Dental showed me what a GREAT dentistry is! From the moment I walked it I felt the positivity and at ease with the homey atmosphere and beautiful ambiance! There was happy children being checked out when I was in the lobby and I’ve never seen a children so happy when leaving the dentist, all smiles, that’s when I knew Villa Dental was the place for me because if children can leave here that happy the dentist must be AMAZING. And amazing is exactly what Dr.Staes is!! You can just tell he cares about each patient’s health so immensely and gives the very best and honest treatment needed. My appointment was a breeze Dr.Staes is so gentle and just a great vibe to be around! I also had the pleasure to meet the other dentist in office, Dr.Upton in passing he was just as welcoming and polite as Dr.Staes! I wouldn’t mind having my appointments being with either Dr they’re both great people! I am SO HAPPY to have found Villa Dental and grateful to call this wonderful establishment my dentist home! I suggest it to anyone in need of a dentist or just wanting to find a new amazing dentist home!

I have been going here for a little over a year. I hadn’t been to the dentist in a long time and I wasn’t sure where to start. They set me up on a path to a great healthy dental higene and smile. The staff was great! Super friendly and helpful and quick to answer any questions I may have. From the front desk to all the way to the dentists they are all very nice and knowledgeable. I was nervous about going but now I always feel in excellent hands. I highly reccomend them whether you’re single or want to take your whole family. They also worked with me on payments for some of the larger dental work appointments I had which was super awesome and helpful. I also work out of town and at times would have to reschedule appointments(not that I wanted to), but they were always super nice and worked with my difficult schedule. I wouldn’t go to any other dental facility.

My experience at Villa Dental has always been above average- and I am slightly Dentist picky as I grew up with my Grandma working in the same dentist office for 30 years! First, because I do think it’s the most important, the dentist really knows his stuff. He is very thorough, explaining each thing in detail. When I had a couple of cavities filled here, it was the first time in my entire life that I didn’t feel a single thing, and wasn’t numb for the entire day. Bonus. The staff is great, the office is very well kept. I actually travel out of my way to come here while we are stationed at Fort Sam Houston. It’s always difficult finding new Doctors and Dentists when you move with the military, but I did find this office on Yelp and I’m glad to write another positive review for those people who are looking for the same

Villa Dentals was AWESOME! I came in from California to see the SXSW party in Austin and my parents insisted I get my teeth looked at while I was in town. I went over to San Antonio but I couldn’t get an appointment anywhere on such short notice….. Until I found VILLA DENTAL!!! The receptionist was really kind and helpful. They even offered to stay open a little past closing just to help me out!! A dentist in California had quoted me something like $3k to do like 10 fillings (I will be taking better care of my teeth now) and a deep-cleaning but I was unhappy about that. Villa Dental offered me a much more reasonable and affordable price. First I needed to make sure the Dentist here was competent. His team did a great job on my X-Rays and right away he found the anomalies and saw what I needed fixed. But then….. He examined my teeth with a small camera with video display. He explained to my mother exactly step by step what needed fixing and how they were gonna do it. They dentist talked to us about his education and degree and his prior experience. We agreed and they made an appointment for is the next day. The appointment and the work they did on my smile went by without a hitch! I was a little nervous about having people drill on my teeth but they were very professional and made sure I was comfortable. They did a really thorough deep cleaning too and right away I was feeling much more healthy and clean. My teeth were a lot cleaner walking out of that place. They advised me to cut down on sweets and also to take good care of my new fillings by brushing and using mouthwash regularly. Thanks VILLA DENTAL!! You guys are AWESOME!!

I moved to the US from Australia this year, and this was my first healthcare experience here. The entire team at Villa were extremely warm and welcoming from the moment we made our appointments. They make visiting the dentist as pleasurable and least stressful as possible. Facilities are top of the line, the process is so smooth and streamlined, and everyone is very professional, but still extremely friendly. I couldn’t fault one thing, they are outstanding.

I truly enjoyed my visit to your office and how many people can say that about their experience with a dentist? Your facility is very conveniently located, so I didn’t have far to go for my appointment! To be honest, your office is located right across the street from the apartment complex I live in, so that’s VERY convenient for me!! 🙂 From the moment I walked in, your staff was very friendly and welcoming and had smiles on their faces throughout. l thoroughly enjoyed the tour I was given and appreciated the time your receptionist took away from her duties to take me around your office and point out the various treatment rooms and introduce me to the different staff members there. The dentist who took care of me was also friendly and professional. He very patiently explained what my procedure would entail and answer the questions I posed to him. All in all, an extremely pleasant visit. I would not hesitate to recommend Villa Dental to all my friends & family! GREAT JOB!!!! Thank you for making my first visit to your Babcock Rd. office such a joy! You’ve just made a loyal customer out of me!!!

Incredibly nice staff and knowledgable dentist. From my first cleaning where I had all my X-rays explained to me to the three fillings I got today, Everyone works to make sure you are comfortable and okay with what’s going on. I loved my dentist back in Florida and really didn’t want to admit it was time to find a new one, but I’m happy to say I’ve certainly found my San Antonio dentist. I will recommend to anyone I can, there is honestly nothing I would change about either of my experiences and I look forward to my next cleaning.

Wow! Where to begin.. This office is simply incredible. Dr Staes has truly put a lot of time and effort into everything about this office. It is clean, modern, and well-decorated. From my conversation with Dr Staes I get a real sense for his passion and love for not only dentistry but also his patients. I found myself at Villa Dental because of a dental emergency while I was visiting a friend. Long story short I fractured half of my front tooth and was having some sensitivity. My friend recommended his dentist (Dr Staes) so I called the office and was surprised at how accommodating they were in seeing me on such an urgent basis. Dr Staes took the time to explain in detail what was going on and gave me a very honest recommendation on how to fix it. I am so happy I went through with getting it done. Dr Staes did a great job and it is hard to tell where the tooth ends and where the filling begins. I just wish to say thanks so much to Dr Staes and the whole staff at Villa Dental for fixing me up! Anyone in the San Antonio area looking for a great, competent dentist look no further!

Villa Dental has excellent service! Everyone in the office is always friendly and professional. They always make you feel at home at Villa Dental. They absolutely take care of all your dental needs and do not let you leave questioning anything about your service. The office is always extremely clean! With the current pandemic they take proper precautions to keep you safe and healthy! They are the gem of dentistry! I have no plans to change my provider any time soon. You won’t be disappointed! (You are taken care of because the staff is taken care of, keep up the outstanding leadership Dr. Staes!)

I have been a patient at Villa Dental for over a year now and am still very happy I found Dr. Staes and his team. I have had three cleanings most recently with Irene who was really great. I have also had a few visits for fillings which are never fun but I feel like Dr. Staes does a really great job making sure you are comfortable thru the whole procedure. He is very patient and really takes the time to explain everything. The TV’s in the treatment rooms are a great distraction. I don’t have any complaints about Villa Dental and would recommend them to anyone looking for a great dentist.

The follow-up cleaning and filings were done very well. The hours are beyond helpful, especially if you are pressed for time. The staff were particularly lovely and stop immediately if you feel any sensations of pain. I have very sensitive teeth, so I’m always really nervous to get into a chair when dentists use any sort of drill. However, Dr. Staes did an excellent job, and they were willing to stay as long as possible to ensure I got all my fillings in despite constantly giving me numbing. I really like the apparatus they use to help you breathe while they complete your dental work. The breathing device is explained very nicely by the assistant before they insert it into your mouth. I felt like the work was completed faster because you don’t need staff to come in with the other handheld tool to vacuum out saliva. The fillings looked very nicely done, and I was only numb for a couple of hours afterwards. Composite fillings are particularly great because you can eat same day. I highly recommend coming here if you have a busy schedule and are in need of an attentive, thorough, kind dentist to complete any and all issues with your teeth. I really appreciate Dr. Staes commenting and clarifying on the last review as well. You can tell the staff really care. (Promise, this is not sponsored. I have the deductibles to prove it.) A nice bonus is that they have a TV on the ceiling for nervous clients to watch as the dentist works. A great touch for those of us who get panicky as pointy objects come close to our teeth
