Just returned for my routine check up and cleaning. Dr. Valencia is honestly the best! I was so happy to see a familiar face when I walked in. I’ve had the best experience with Iliana every time I’ve come to the office. You know you are in a good business when you see the same employees. I’ve been to dental offices before where every six months I see new people. Geeez glad that is not the case here. So my appointment was exactly what I expected. My x rays were taken ( didn’t feel any pain ! ) and then Dr. Valencia came in and did my exam. I was worried that she would rush through my exam since I’ve had that experience before (at another office), BUT nooo, she took as much time as she did the first time! We talked about everything and she answered every question. I didn’t feel rushed at ALL. She then did my cleaning which was amazing. I was not disappointed at all. Best part was the noise canceling headphones the office provides. Once I finished my appointment I received a bag with a toothbrush, toothpaste and floss. Awesome! Haha I will definitely use it when I travel. Overall I would still highly recommend Dr. Valencia and her office. She’s honest , kind and has your best interest at heart. She doesn’t try to upsell you on all that stuff other office do. I wish her page could reflect more of who she really is! 6 reviews isn’t enough!

I have finally found a dental office I trust! I neglected my teeth for some years because I get major anxiety just the thought of walking into the office. Somehow Dr. Valencia is by far the best dentist I’ve ever dealt with she made me feel at ease during a few procedures. She is very nice and takes her time to explain and answer questions even before you’ve asked them. This office has nice amenities like watching a movie or listening to music to help drown out the sound of teeth work (BIG PLUS). The other team members, from the dental hygienists are absolutely amazing as well. They’re honest and don’t recommend a bunch of procedures that aren’t necessary, and work with you to maximize your insurance benefits. So happy to finally have found a great dentist in Santa Ana

Brought my son into see Dr. Valencia and it was an amazing experience! She was super welcoming and showed him the whole room before he even sat down, (so nothing was a suprise) she let him pick what he wanted on tv and had noise cancellation headphones, and once he put the sunglasses on he was all ready to go, she took her time and didn’t make anything seem scary to him at all, he left a happy camper and so did mom

Today’s visit was very pleasant with Dr. Valencia. I feel great and she did an amazing job. I can tell she knows what she is doing when she was able to explain all my procedure and take care of my dental needs. I broke a tooth while eating something hard; she fixed it. I came to this office because my husband came for an emergency before. I liked the attention I received. WOW!!!!! I have never been to a dental office that takes my blood pressure. When I asked why… she said it is important to know if I have any problems with my blood pressure. She seems to care about me and my health, not just my mouth. She is very kind and explained the procedures in detail. My teeth felt very clean after my deep cleaning. I am writing this review because I really liked the customer service they provide. They called me the day after my treatment to see how I felt. I recommend this doctor and her staff!

For years our family dentist was very lazy and did the bare minimum to bill what he could from me. Cleanings were 20 minutes, and he brushed over all the details. I switched to another dentist who took an x-ray of my mouth and told me that I had 5 cavities of which one was a root canal. Then I went to go see Dr. Yesenia Valencia and now I can tell you that I finally have a great dentist. I really appreciate Dr. Valencia’s honesty. She didn’t pressure me to get services that I didn’t really need- like a root canal. She saved me time, money, and peace of mind that I wasn’t being taken advantage of. I’m glad I found Dr. Valencia and you will too!
First of all, she’s very detail orientated and will take her time with you. My cleaning was very thorough and not to mention she took the time to explain to me each condition and plan of treatment. My first visit she took her time going through my xrays with me and validating the diagnosis from the other dentist. It turns out that I didn’t have 5 cavities – 2 at most. The supposed root canal was just a cavity that she filled without a problem.

Dr. Valencia is a great dentist. She is caring, thoughtful, good nature and above all she knows what she is doing. You can feel her love for what she does. I came in, because one of my retainers broke and she and her office took great care of me. The receptionist was extremely helpful and did all of the pre-work with my insurance so when I had the work done everything went so smooth, even though, I don’t live in this area. I thought it was all worth it, my retainers feel great. I wish I live closer to her dental office. I would make her my dentist without any hesitation.

I was a bit wary of searching for a new dentist. Having spent over a decade with my last one, I was reluctant to go to another. We get into our comfort zones with people, me thinks. Especially those that treat our medical ailments. Yet, so glad I stumbled into Dr. Valencia. My first session, I thought I was going in for a cleaning. Instead, it turned into a bit of a therapy session. We discussed my dental history, my dental health, past experiences and my goals. She practices with a dental group elsewhere, but has her own practice in Santa Ana. The team at the front desk is also very helpful (…) I’ll be back in six months for my next cleaning and future dental work.

I AM SO GREATFUL TO HAVE FOUND DR. VALENCIA! The first time at Dr. Valencia’s office was when my 10 year old daughter broke a tooth. Upon arriving, we were greeted by the front office with a big friendly smile. This made my daughter’s nerves a little bit more at ease. We were brought back quite quickly, which surprised me since dentists now-a-days make you wait for 30+ minutes just to get to you. The whole time Dr. Valencia was very gentle. Definitely did not rush, but instead explained every step. After our visit my daughter told me how comfortable she had felt with Dr. Valencia because she talked her through the process and how much she wanted her to be our dentist. Today it was my turn! Although it was just for my regular check up and cleaning. It was GREAT! I can now understand why my daughter felt so comfortable. Dr. Valencia is a prime example of excellence in the dentistry field. Not only is she concerned with your teeth, but she cares about your overall health. I came in for my regular cleaning, and the first thing Dr. Valencia did was have her dental assistant take my blood pressure. NEVER have I had a dentist take my blood pressure. Dr. Valencia explained to me that the reason she starts your visit by taking your blood pressure is because she likes to be aware of how your health is doing before she plans to do any anesthetic work, fillings, etc. She also informed me that if a patient’s blood pressure is too high, then she will send the information to their primary doctor so that this issue can be resolved. Dr. Valencia also discovered that there’s an abnormal pocket behind one of my wisdom teeth. My old dentist told me I didn’t have to worry about my wisdom teeth because they didn’t bother me. If Dr. Valencia hadn’t caught this pocket, who knows what the negative outcome would have been! She is a marvelous dentist and an outstanding human being. I am absolutely impressed.

I really have had a tough time (as many of us have) finding a dental office that treats it’s patients with respect, competency and who puts your best interests first. And a dentist that you can trust. Not only did I find this with the office staff, but Dr. Valencia herself came out to go over my whole oral and health history personally while my daughter was being seen! It was the best experience that I have ever had and I can’t wait to see her again. Dr. Valencia was so gentle and thorough with my regular cleaning that I felt like I had a deep cleaning. I went to Dr. Valencia for a cleaning I’ve been putting off for a while. When I went in, I was taken through a thorough Xray process and was told in detail the condition of my teeth. I asked Dr. V on what I should do with my wisdom teeth, which have been growing in but didn’t hurt for years- she’s the first dentist that told me that if it doesn’t hurt, or is moving my other teeth, I don’t have to remove them!!! She’s the first dentist in the States that told me this. When I went to a dentist in Korea, the dentist there told me that as long as my wisdom teeth aren’t hurting or impacting my other teeth that I can leave them in. My dental experience in Korea is that they try to save even the smallest piece of tooth, if they could help it. Ever since then, I have not trusted any dentist who told me that I have to take them out immediately. So when Dr. V was honest with me about my wisdom teeth, I knew I could trust her. She was also very gentle and quick with the cleaning- usually I cringe through a cleaning but I was very comfortable and felt at ease with Dr. V. She is also very friendly, and she’s just one of those people who are easy to love.
