I saw Dr. Pokhrel for a cleaning first : it’s the first time in my life I barely experience any pain for a dental cleaning (and I’m very sensitive to pain when it comes to my teeth) – and the cleaning was perfect : amazing ! Then I came to see her to replace an old amalgam filling with a composite one : Dr. Pokhrel took the time to answer my concerns regarding mercury leaks or vapor inhalation and was extremely careful when removing it (with a special device to prevent metal pieces from being swallowed and vapors from being inhaled). I expected to have to take painkillers when the local anesthesia faded : absolutely no need, no pain at all (just a light cramp in the jaw but that’s it). It’s incredible how careful Dr. Pokhrel was – not to mention the relaxing chair, great staff, and you can also relax by watching a Netflix program of your choice while she’s doing the heavy work ! I highly recommend Dr. Pokhrel, if you go see her there’s no doubt you’ll get the best possible care in a relaxing atmosphere.

I’ve been to Dr Pokhrel for a cavity filling and a crown on two separate occasions and have always had a nice comfortable experience. She is now my go-to dentist and I finally feel like I have a dentist who is always looking out for me. She is very kind and gentle, and makes a genuine effort to educate the patient about each treatment she performs. I’ve recommended many of my friends to her.

I came back with an update to the last four months of procedures with Dr. P but was rather stunned by a recent 2 star review. This office but more importantly Dr. P has changed my life. She and her staff have repaired years of damage to my teeth and have provided the best care I’ve ever received from any doctors office. This person commented on many aspects but in honesty All sound like a complete misunderstanding of Dr. P. I’ve been to dentist in West Philadelphia, Chicago, The Florida panhandle and let me tell you none of their equipment is either out dated or dilapidated. The massaging chairs for those of us who have anxiety are true nerve relaxers and much appreciated. The headphones are perfect for introverts, and the Tv for those with short attention spans. While most of my visits were too invasive to enjoy the headphones or tv, while I had my cleaning it really made the time go by much quicker and I felt more relaxed when leaving. The reviewer went on to comment on her follow up after completing a filling. During another appointment it was suggested an X-ray be preformed to ensure the filling went according to plan. I’m not sure if this person hasn’t had many fillings but Dr P completed over a dozen fillings for me as well as placed my temporary veneers. She personally reached out to ask about my healing progress and had me come into for adjustments to my comfort. Finally for the X-ray complaint. I’ve had within the last 4 years a dentist use tape xrays. For someone who has had extensive xrays I prefer to not have my entire head xrayed for each checkup. And when you’re having large deep cavities filled you want to have an X-ray completed afterward to ensure all the decay has been removed. Anyone looking for an amazing person that happens to also be an incredible dentist needs only to make an appointment. As long as I’m in the Bay I’ll come to Dr. P. And can not wait to see what smile she creates for me when my veneers come in any day.

This is by far the best dentist experience I’ve had in my life. The office space / environment is sensational. The staff was incredibly nice and professional. The chair was making massages while the cleanup was happening and the dental clean up was extremely comfortable. The doctor also took the time to answer all my questions with care and to wrap it all up they gave me a gift when I finished. If you’re looking for a “nice” dentist in SF then you’ll have to settle for exceptional.

This, I have to say, must be the best dentist office ever!! It is very well decorated, the equipment are brand new, everything is aesthetically pleasing. The staffs are very nice as well. First of all, a massage chair??? Out of this world! Maybe it’s just me but I have never seen a patient’s chair which also was a massage chair. I paid out of my own pocket so it was pricey, around $500 for just cleaning and annual checkup so make sure you have insurance coverage before you come in. I knew my insurance didn’t cover this office but I wanted to go in anyway. At the end of my visit they gave me a little gift bag that has a toothbrush, an inspirational card, floss, and toothpaste! What a nice surprise, I never expect to get gifts from any doctor’s office. I’m generally not afraid of the dentist but I feel like this office is perfect for those who are!

This dentistry practice did their best to accommodate me despite me being 10 mins late. They were as thorough as they could be. I recommend them to others and will be going back in 6 months. The only thing I could not quite work out, was how they let you watch Netflix whilst cleaning. For me that wasn’t an option because of my tardiness, but the screen was also definitely not in a position that I could watch it whilst getting cleaned. I had wanted to see my pictures and x-rays but wasn’t really able to look at them closely. (Which, again, may have also been a result of my tardiness…)
